Ron often greeted people (or signed off) with his saying "Vous etes swing." It sort of became his middle name. And, yes the intended...meaning is 'you are swinging.' Ron lived in Paris for a number of years and picked up that greeting while living there.

At the beginning I think he says .."Vous etes swing"...French for: "You are swing"

Probably wrong though, any other ideas?

Man, what a great series! What is it Ron Jefferson is saying at the beginning of each show? Is it "Who's that swing?!" Thanks so much for posting this amazing series of interviews. Like sitting around with a bunch of friends and visiting. Very cool!!
