I used to ride on that same stretch leaving from my job...Sears in Oakland....the Pittsburg train always dusts the Richmond train coming out of the tunnel after 19th street, then the Pittsburg train slows and the Richmond train starts pulling slowly ahead....

We have that in NY all the commuter rail lines and subway lines have tracks where the trains parallel each other for a good amount of time.Even though on the commuter lines you really only see it during rush hour although there are exceptions.Nice video,I wish the NYC subway was that clean,fast and nice

There is similar video but video was taken in Tokyo. They have 8 parallel train tracks for commuter train.
