Gotta love the Minbari fighting pike. One of the coolest sci-fi weapons ever. That and the light saber and Bat'leth, are my favorite close combat sci-fi weapons.

This is such a good show. Netflix has it on instant play. I am currently in the middle of season 4 :D

Hang on, at 1:20 (I think) Dr Franklin says that sanchez should get to medlab "stat"  yet then says that there no rush. Doesn't stat usually mean immediatly? Otherwise a good vid and an excellent character

But yes, I've heard about this as well.

JMS didn't think that they'd make a 5th season, so he tried to finish all strings of the story logical, but he had to do it in a rush, which is why I don't love season 4 as much as season 3.

Hehe, I'm forced to be bilingual(mother tongue + english)/trilingual(+ french) by our schoolsystem ;-)

But yes, thinking about it, it's very nice and helpful to be able to speak other languages. You can communicate with so many other people than :-)

But I'm still learning ^.^

I KNOW!!! Right?? That was a *slaps hand* bad thing for JMS to do. Actually, in a commentary, he said that he hadn't originally intended to kill off Marcus. He intended for Ivanova to die because at that point, he didn't think that there would be a 5th season. But he also wrote seasons 3 and 4 in a rather stream of conscious way - no outlines. Sadly...this was what popped out :(

apparently in a book released long after the series he is brought back to life by rangers with standing orders from ivonava (but 100 years after her death) ... he then creates a clone of her from a hair on his clothing, gives it all her memories then maroons them both on an uninhabited planet so they can live out their lives together ... JMS said he wrote this so they get a happy ending but still raise all the ethic/moral questions the series is famous for

It's a short story rather than a book. Sad to say, though, it's really pretty horrific! Certainly not a happy ending for anybody. Marcus is turned into a scary stalker type, who is basically the clone's jailer. I can't say as I'd recommend it - except perhaps to people who don't like Marcus. ;)
