However, on their wedding day the bride and groom are considered to be a queen and king and it is the responsibility for the wedding guests to make the couple smile and laugh as much as possible. @1994antmfan I'm not Ortho, never mind Chassidic, but I have Ortho relatives and family friends. If you ever get an opportunity to go to an Ortho wedding, take it! It's a blast.
There's also a tradition of everyone gathering in front of the entrance to the reception hall to great the bride and groom with noise makers, confetti, etc. My sister and I organised this kind of entrance for a Reform cousin's wedding. Something easy to do and soooo much fun!

What religious significance do these dances have? Do they have any religious or ritualistic meaning or are they simply cultural tradition for celebration purposes? Dance does play an important role in many religious practices such as dervish or Sufi ceremonies. Do these Jewish dances have similar meaning?

@alpidistra there's no ritual or spiritual meaning to the dances themselves. However, on their wedding day the bride and groom are considered to be a queen and king and it is the responsibility for the wedding guests to make the couple smile and laugh as much as possible. To do this there is a lot of dancing and singing, the women are in a separate section dancing with the bride in the same way.
