@TheTrashman97 The red, white and blue are the old Laidlaw waste systems colors. Allied purchased Laidlaw waste back in 1996. They were always my favorite looking fleet too.. mostly macks if I remember right.

It's like to day I have only 12 dumpsters and about 575 residential cans and I NEVER touch a dumpster! I don't have roll outs on my route because I've gotten in good with my customers so they all pull them out for me. Eazy breezy!

It looks quicker to push the dumpster on and pull it off the forks just because he has the arm controls on the outside of the cab. I only have controls on the inside of the cab of the truck I drive, so I just drive into the dumpsters I pull out. I have about 60 pull-outs on one of my routs, they are a pain in the butt, but because we work for the city, they won't pull them out for us, bastards.

I hear that. When I did commercial recycle I had 90 roll outs on my Tuesday. They were all within 5-6 blocks of each other and the route only took about 4 hours. Cities have got it made. County routes we make the customer do it so we can just stab em.

Trash trucks appeal to all the senses...you can see them, smell them, touch them, hear them, and if your into it.....eat....no we won't go there!They have moving parts, big sounds, do a cool service and they are part of that "enviro" saving generation! I just love them...simply because they bring out the child in me!

I still enjoy watching them too, and I drive a front loader similar to this one. First time I've seen controls outside of the cab though (I guess I haven't been doing it long enough). I sure wish our trucks had that feature! My knees complain when I climb into the cab each time.

I'm trying to figure out how to make my Cybershot into a headcam, so I can do a virtual garbage truck vid, and upload it on YouTube. Watch for it!
