@cutetip3 if youre implying that you speak french fluently you might want to learn how to spell ca va correctly since we did learn that the very first day of french 1
This is my favorite show and has been for so friggin long. Instead of making you wait for an outrageous fit of laughter, they keep you laughing lightly the entire time. It's perfect.
everyone claiming that they are french but is still unable to recognize that 'foux' is not a nonsense/made-up word by just the plural of 'fou' is not actually french. that would be like an english speaker not realizing that 'cats' is just the plural of 'cat.'
@dodgeitson Well maybe because french people know better about french language than you do. The plural of "fou" is "fous". "Foux" doesn't exist in french.
@Doloress2305 funny thing is im french too. and yea, i used to say it all the time when i was in elementary with my friends, who are french as well. have you ever heard "bébé fafa?" cause its a term that's used by little kids to say somethings easy. And yes, it is "fou" actually, i just looked it up cause i wasnt sure.technically, what im saying does make sense, it just might not be the case here...unless the person who wrote the title didnt know how to spell...like me, which is a possibility.
LOL!!! I'm a first semester French student and our professor played this when we finished all the vocab we needed to actually understand this video without subtitles!!! Priceless
@bingeandpurge voilà mon passeport can refer to 'here is my passport' as well; you do not have to say voici mon passeport to indicate that it is in front of you.
Foux and fafa are nonsense words. But if you said "fous du fafa" (which would be pronounced exactly as it is in the song), it would mean "crazy about fafa." So the song sorta gets at being crazy about something French, but it is in the end just nonsense.
Actually, er, it kinda does. Fa-fa is a term somewhat used here in the UK to describe a woman's ladygarden. Her rose. The Garden of Delights. It's ideal to drop into a conversation to confuse someone - "Oh, my fa-fa's itching like crazy!" and watch that nosey eavesdropper try and figure out what you mean...
I know this means practically nothing but Fou(Foo) Du (Duh) means mad man of the .... Foux....in some parts can be used as a masculine form crazy... So mad man of the Fafa?
I swear my friend at University was the first person to do this! We had a guy in our halls and because she couldn't speak French and he couldn't speak English - she used to just say random things to him in French. Like Baguette, Jacques Cousteau etc. LOL She did it to a German guy as well. 'Bratwurst', 'Sauerkraut' hahaha that guy is now her Fiance though strangely enough.
Oh dear. This is supposed to be a pisstake - stock phrases that you learn in french class. thanks for the effort but i suspect that if you don't know what the french stuff means, you won't get the joke anyway because you never took a french class!
