  • Scott was great. But Alister Sim's 1952 black & white version captured the character better.

  • which Woodward was the Narrator in this one, Peter or edward? they have such similar voices?

  • @trumbachd1 I looked, and looked, and finally found the answer: neither. It was Roger Rees who played the nephew Fred.

  • What a great job you have made of transfering this to youtube. It's just like watching it at the cinema

PS This is the best version of this classic tale I must admit

  • Does anybody know the title of the opening theme (not the Sussex Carol with the concertina, the one played by a full orchestra)?

    Thanks.

  • hi Its a great tune, I have been trying to find out myself. Let me know if you get a reply.

  • I shall

  • I think the title sequence song is called "God Bless Us Every One". If you search for it on youtube, there's a version of it from the end of the show with words. I prefer the version without lyrics though, myself.

  • God Bless us everyone by Nick Bicat

lawford83 has the song with the lyrics once you listen to the lyrics you develop a certain fondness for it but I still prefer the instrumental version myself.
