I think the title sequence song is called "God Bless Us Every One". If you search for it on youtube, there's a version of it from the end of the show with words. I prefer the version without lyrics though, myself.
lawford83 has the song with the lyrics once you listen to the lyrics you develop a certain fondness for it but I still prefer the instrumental version myself.
This was the BEST "A Christmas Carol" ever made or will be made. George C. Scott is the BEST!!! I have it on DVD & we watch couple time/year... Maybe tonight!!! Merry Christmas everybody!!! David
This is my favorite version and it was transated into Spanish all people from Latin America knows who George C Scott is because of this movie and also Patton besides Charles Dickens wonderful work.
This is my favourite version of this classic! George C Scott played the part perfect. The casting was all perfect for that matter. This may be a Christmas movie, but the story is such a classic I could watch it anytime!
Scott was great. But Alister Sim's 1952 black & white version captured the character better.

@trumbachd1 I looked, and looked, and finally found the answer: neither. It was Roger Rees who played the nephew Fred.

Does anybody know the title of the opening theme (not the Sussex Carol with the concertina, the one played by a full orchestra)?
Thanks.
