  • Thats sounds awful. the technique is right however its better over the metal fret part

  • It's good feeling to see a blackman devoting serious effort to guitar, as opposed to you know, fiddling with a drum machine or making artificial rhythm with his mouth. But still...Snoop and Dre kick ass!

  • i actually stumbled upon this tech trick by mistake, its gnarly as fuck when applyed at the right moment. Good example of this is Dimebags solo in the song "Floods"

  • THNX JAY-Z ... U R THE BEST!!!!

  • Steve Vai performs "For The Love of God" live with the Holland Metropole Orchestra, 2005. From the amazing DVD "Visual Sound Theories" - available through the official Steve Vai websit

  • whats with the N word assholes, have some respect, and btw its BOOORING and for beginers

  • @CapnBooBoo relax NIGGA hahahahaha

  • thats a REAL brotha!!!

  • this guy is my nigga

  • It is very important to tap above the "fret-wire" 12 frets above the fretted note. You can also tap on the 5th fret-wire higher and the 7th fret-wire higher than your fretted note to achieve the same result. --- You can just tap the fret wire in all these 3 places without even having to pick the fretted note. but that takes a bit more time with your technique.

  • Great Amp sound on the video, wondering what kind of amp he was using.

  • I think it has something to do with other things, but now I know it's just harmonics (faciolet)

  • I *hate* musical ruts. I'm in one right now O_o

  • man, i used to do this shit on accident all the time. kinda weirded me out the first time i did it

  • whoa, willy got a beard... kinda rockin the hancock look, haha

  • It's great that he's finally getting more comfortable on camera.

His earlier frozen smile was really kinda creepy.

  • Can you do that on a guitar with single coil pickups?

  • yea u can do it with pretty much any guitar

  • sure but its not going to sound as good

  • are you in a band? if you are what is your name?

  • Nice. I didn't know how to do these before, I just had suspicions. Thanks man!

  • kaliphona,,, good lesson, good teacher, rock on

  • Cool :D Carlsbad.

  • yeah but ph is a bit easy!!!

  • cool tattoos dude!(not really a fan of tattoos but like these ones)

  • ....why not just a regular pinch harmonic?

  • This has a higher chance to sound the same, and doesn't have to be used instantly, you can tap it a little later compared to a pinch, which gives a nice touch. Also it's nice that they show this technique exists and works.

  • what guitar is he using

  • Paul Reed Smith (PRS)

  • its a PRS. I dont know what model

  • He's teaching a tap harmonic, the thumb with the pick is a pinch harmonic.

  • jo 2 Fist Mgee!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice!

  • "Rockin' like Dokken in no time!" YEAH!!!

  • Yes I like this fella!

  • Shit man, this guy should do more vids

  • How do you do a Pinch Harmonich

  • Pick the string and carefully touch it with your picking hand thumb. Check out lessons on Youtube.

  • hold your pick close to the edge so that when u pick, the side of ur side of your thumb should barely brush the string in the process in one motion

  • Well, actually it's 'octava harmonic tapping'

I does not make any difference in the use.

  • fun trick

i bet it works 5 & 7 frets above the

    fretted note, too

  • dude so sick man
