With a bit of tweaking, the Trans Am Concept at 3:47 could easily be the new generation of GTOs. Take a bit of the pitch out of the main grill, shorten up the undergrill and recess it a bit, put the 2 ditchlights in, add the hood tach, and then incorporate the spoiler into the rear, and it could be the 2011 69' GTO look-a-like. Oh man that just makes me droooooll.

@doller1009 It would seem that GM Chevrolet has something better in mind. The Pontiac G8 was a slightly restyled and rebadged Holden Commodore designed and built in Australia. In Middle Eastern countries, it's a Chevy Lumina. Chevrolet want to bring the Lumina (aka Commodore) and El Camino aka VE Holden Commodore ute (pickup) to America, so they finally have a proper rear drive sedan, wagon and El Camino rear drive V8 in their lineup again.

Remember to thank Bob Lutz, Vice president of GM's global marketing for giving America the chance to enjoy Australian engineering. He'd been itching to export Holdens to America since the mid 90s, albeit with Chevrolet or Pontiac badges. The Chevy Caprice may have a civilian version, also based on a Holden

Since the firebird and camaro were built on the fbody chassis since their debuts in the sixties they have shared almost everything. the new 2010 camaro isn't a fbody therefor I HIGHLY doubt they'll bring the bird back

I wonder if GM knows how much cash they lost by dropping the firebird concept, it could of jumped Pontiac back from the dust but they decided to be lame and get rid of pontiac all together! You don't re release an already lame car and name it something else!

The Cobalt may vaguely resemble the G8, but under the skin they have practically nothing in common other than coming from GM factories. The Holden Commodore existed long before the Cobalt ever did, and the G8 is a quickie restyle by Pontiac of the latest incarnation of the Commodore
