  • the patriots better hope they don't see the Giants in the super bowl this year!!!

  • @whoopin65 lol you think if they faced of again the gaints would win, it was a fluke in 07 the pats have some unfinished buisness with the gaints

  • Does anyone knows the name of that song?

  • All the dislikes are because this is NOT the Statue of Liberty play...thumbs up for the first two words of this video title! Thumbs down for the last three...

  • he called it the statue of liberty because bradys hand went up in the air with the ball looked like the statue of liberty

  • "The New England Patriots employed an unusual variant of the play in their 2007 NFL divisional playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Strictly speaking, the play, which the Patriots called "Double Pop,"[6] was actually a reverse Statue of Liberty play, in that the run, not the pass, was the fake element."

    -wikipedia

  • Not the Statue of Liberty

  • @seandunx It was a modified version of the statue of liberty.

  • Idiot.

  • 85 people got fooled by the Statue of Liberty

  • 85 dislikes? look at all the haters. PATS ALL DAY

  • @mcneezey No, look at the resolution and lack of statue of liberty play.

  • @mcneezey It's disliked because it isn't a STATUE OF LIBERTY play

  • Does Tom Brady know what Statue of Liberty is? It doesn't mean to literally mock the statue for a millisecond. But as long as it fooled the defense, I'd take it any day.

  • @NFLization he fooled the defeense into thinking it be a direct snap to faulk. he was able to paause the defense for just one second and that made the whole difference on this play

  • the best part of this is the song... I miss hearing this everytime football season roles around.. Not like hearing it in the 90's lol

  • its a fake state of liberty

  • Reverse statue of Liberty maybe

  • which pixel is tom?

  • @naavs94 the gay one

  • Boise States is a statue of liberty....this, this is bullshit

  • he is really good at that shit the son of a bitch

  • UMMMM Tom Brady sucks and that was not the Statue of Liberty

  • @Tensorx12x oh yea tom brady is the worst qb the future hall of famer cant even score more than 50 touchdowns in a season

  • @wiffgunderwanted no shit he sucks ny giants all the way

  • @portugal4life89 i was being sarcastic he is way better than eli manning 30 touchdowns is the current record "slap on head" i'll take it easy on u though since portuguese brothers need to stick together

  • @wiffgunderwanted btw is ur name alex

  • @portugal4life89 by the way ur name is john dude why are u watching a tom brady video just to dislike it hater lol

  • @wiffgunderwanted lol i dont dislike him i wanted to see this video its kinda cool

  • NOT the statue of liberty

  • the d reacted pretty well, just left 1 guy open smh

  • how did a video with shitty quality like this get 220000 views

  • The play is called 'Double POP'

  • Leave it to a Patriot fan to say something stupid.

  • statue of PUBERTY

  • statue of liberty is a sneaky fake hand off when some motions behind you.

  • what the fuck was that lol? i don't see any statue of liberty.. and how come tom brady gets so much time to throw the ball lol

  • @DeLandesCovers he held his hand up like a torch, like the statue of liberty

  • that is play action

  • im brittish i know thats not one

  • No, its better than the statue of liberty.. he put his hand in the air to show the defense he didn't have it *whoopsy*

  • that is a form of the statue of liberty, its a loosely used term

  • Thats not a statue of liberty, thats a fake direct RB snap. DUHH

  • Statue of liberty is fake the pass and hand off ball you idiot

  • You suck at life.

  • way to make the defense look like fools

  • @hegelets Only the lineman bought the fake, it was just bad coverage by the person guarding that reciever

  • at least his body motion seems for statue of liberty-esque

  • brady looks like justin beiber

  • @MrSouthphillyitalian U mean beiber looks like Brady. Brady's older and I'm not saying we want to be Tom Brady, but I'm sure you and I would rather be Tom Brady than justin beiber if we HAD to be one of those two.

  • @leftysmith83 GO EAGLES !!

  • @MrSouthphillyitalian U kno Super Bowl 45 might be a Super Bowl 39 rematch. If Tom Brady doesn't win MVP this season, I don't see how anyone can win it over Michael Vick. I really like his story how he hit rock bottom, and now he's better than ever.

  • @leftysmith83 I would like to see that . the eagles and vick played terrible in the last 2 games hopfully they can get this chip off their shoulder and come out strong against dallas for the playoffs

  • this play is actually called 'Double Pop'

This play is a variation of the direct snap to Faulk in shotgun formation whilst Brady fakes a mishandled snap. This particular play assumes the defense is aware of the existing play therefore the ball is snapped to Brady, he sells it as well as Faulk, then looks and torches the Jags with a ball to a wide open Welker.

2007 Patriots people, scary offense schematically.

  • what's the song?

  • @barguna god i hope ur not serious

  • @squatch45 No mayne, I generally don't follow football. But I'vve had this song stuck in my head for a long time and so wanted to know the name. I know it now, it's the HEY song!

However still not matching up to the hype which I created in my mind.

  • Great play, not the Statue of Liberty play.

  • i dont even think it was supposed to look like that. leave it to the patriots to fuck up a play and still score

  • whats all the fuss about

  • Comment removed

  • (facepalm)

That's a play action fake GENIUS

  • play action.....fake hand off..... for SOL wr swings around in a reverse.....while QB fakes a pass.

  • NIce play. This was the best game the Jaguars had ever played. Too bad they had to the play the 16-0 patriots. Garrard was a beast that night. His receivers let him down.

  • just goes to show that Brady is the best QB in football

  • Even me I know it s not the Statue of Liberty

  • The pedophile music makes this video better.

  • This is not the Statue of Liberty play. It's a fake handoff. good job Tom.

  • Beautiful.

  • Comment removed

  • Not the Statue of Liberty play.

  • Tom Brady sold the fake well! The defense was positively befuddled.

  • lmao look at their o line he could of walked in

  • it's not a fucked up play action. that's how it was drawn up.

  • @zephyrtube ya but what was he trying to do? wave to the crowd or what?

  • @AllBlackMamba he was faking like the snap went over his head.

  • Patriots lost the big one....oh well. BRADY still has THREE RINGS

  • he just fucked up the PA and told everybody no that was the uhhhh statue of uhhhhh oh liberty yup

  • wtf he has enough time to light a cigarettte

  • another reason why they were so domnitate that season, but giants took it from them, Go Giants!

  • @LegendaryBlackMamba its cool boston sports is doing just fine

  • they faked a direct snap you idiots.. thats a fake of a play they ran that play in SB 38 and also against the charger in the 2006 divisional playoffs for a 2 pt conversion. just this time tom kept the ball and faked it perfectly....any questions?

  • what the hell was tthat not a statue of liberty lol i think it was an accident

  • Perfect execution

  • psst, psst.. hey! hey you.. 18-1. heeheehee.

  • @wankonbones you lost the big one tho . so 18 - 1 means nothing

  • @douglascarter16 hey you? all you got out of that season was a battered quarterback and no ring heeheehee 18-1 so meh :P

  • brady could've literally laid down for 3 seconds then threw the ball with that protection.

  • this play only looks good because of sick blocking by the o-line

  • no it doesn't have to be great protection because the line man are going after the running back because its just a terrific play action fake.

  • thats just called great protection

  • that's not the statue of liberty play

  • is the whole thing about him putting his hand up like the satue of liberty???

or did i miss something important?

  • GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember when me and my family were watching this together in the living room. My uncle pretty much summed it up... "What an ass."

  • "statue of liberty play"......pffff shit. pretty much a fake handoff

  • thats not statue of liberty thats just a fucked up play action.

  • @mattschuab447 yes it is fucked up but it worked right

  • @peepod2727 yea

  • @mattschuab447 It's a reverse "Statue of Liberty" play, instead of faking the throw he faked the handoff

  • @DjFixxxer01 and a fake run is called a play action pass you idiot

  • @mattschuab447 get a girl and get laid dude

  • @mattschuab447 It's a reverse Statue, actually.

  • @mattschuab447 wtf are you saying..that is one of his best plays ever,i watched this game live and this play was replayed like 30 times

  • @mattschuab447 you's a hater that was the statue of liberty cuz who in the hell gonna turn they back to the ravens d like that.

  • @sexxyladychick thats not the ravens buddy, its the jaguars...

  • @jam3nad3rpwnz you right my bad cuddy.

  • @mattschuab447

absolutely not...it was a statue of liberty

the point was to fool the defense, even if it was only for a second, and it gave tom brady 2 things

    1. more time in the pocket

    2. an open receiver

  • @laxmania3 that's exactly what play action is. a fake run play. this is a PA-Direct Snap play. brady just put a move on them to make it look more realistic.

  • @mattschuab447

lemme explain to you what a statue of liberty is.

the quarterback takes the snap, and fakes a throw

then the quarterback hands off the ball

instead brady takes the snap fakes a hand off , AND fakes the throw, but turns his back to the defense to really sell the fake.

then he throws the ball....its like an advanced statue of liberty, perhaps too advanced for your little brain to comprehend

  • @laxmania3 It also caused him to

    1) look away from the developing play and

    2) lose his grip on the football, decreasing throw speed, power, and accuracy

It's not smart to run that play more than once every 5-6 weeks.

  • @TKwarrior17

well if you score, it doesnt really matter does it!

and have you ever seen the Patriots run that play ever since this happened? I dont think so.

  • @laxmania3 No, I'm just saying it's a weird play and normally shouldn't turn out all that well. And they got the touchdown because they only had like 10 yards to go.

  • @TKwarrior17

they wouldnt run that play with more than 10 yards to go.

  • @mattschuab447 I think you mean genius play action

  • @mattschuab447 nah thats beast as fuck,

  • @mattschuab447 as a bad thing???

  • @mattschuab447 It's not a statue of liberty play, true. But it's not a messed up play action either. There are better quality videos of this play on youtube and you can clearly see that he does exactly what he means to. it's a great play.

  • @mattschuab447 Fucked up play action isn't the right way to put it. They have a direct snap play to the running back that teams prepare for because they've pretty much trademarked it. During the play, Brady always fakes like the ball was snapped over his head. In this case, the defense had prepared for the play and was ready to stop Kevin Faulk on the direct snap but they faked that. It's like a double fake basically.

  • whats the name of that song?

  • whats the name of that song?

  • rock and roll 2 by gary glitter

  • Tom Brady paga comédia, o melhor disparado e Manning

  • not as impressive as Boise State.

  • then again it's in the nfl

  • that's not a statue of liberty that's what they call a RB handoff fakeout

  • @bahamn15 actually its the RB direct snap fake

  • oh my bad

  • i think the one boise state used in the fiesta bowl on the 2 pt conversion to win the game was better

  • Man what great Oline play to give him all that time, you gotta have ALOT of faith with your line to have your QB turn his back to the defenders like that.

  • the HB had barely crossed the line of scrimmage when he put his hand up. pretty convincing

  • Not a true statue, but still hella cool, and very effective. Brady had all kinds of time to find a reciever, and with no real pass protection. The O line totally sold the run perfectly

  • not a statue. the defenition of a statue is a player taking the ball from the QB while he is going through the throwing motion.

  • that doesnt look like the statue of liberty?

  • that sucked...weak statue of liberty

  • probably because it wasn't a statue of liberty. It was a fake 'direct snap' to Kevin Faulk.

The Patriots have run the direct snap to Faulk on the goalline quite a few times. This is a variation on that. But not a statue of liberty.

  • thats not a statue of liberty period.....he threw his arm up like it was a high snap then turned around like he was running after a bad snap hoping it would draw the DBs towards him and the ''loose ball'' leaving the recievers open

  • He didn't execute the play well at all. The DBs were not tricked. The play was a touchdown because the Patriots are better. Plus, the O-line didn't know what they were doing, it looked like.

  • that was actually a pretty ballsy play; he had almost no pass protection, so if even one lineman wasn't tricked, he could have been badly sacked.

  • @shmaller Hell yea. With his back turned that long he could have been hurt bad.

  • was actually a reverse Statue of Liberty play, in that the run, not the pass, was the fake element. Center Dan Koppen faked a direct snap to Patriots running back Kevin Faulk, causing the defense to move to stop the run; meanwhile, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who received the football, faked an over-the-head snap, and held the Statue of Liberty pose with his back to the defense before turning around and throwing a touchdown pass to wide receiver Wes Welker in the back of the end zone

  • This was actually a reverse Statue of Liberty play, in that the run, not the pass, was the fake. Center Dan Koppen faked a direct snap to Patriots running back Kevin Faulk, causing the defense to move to stop the run; Tom Brady, who received the football, faked an overhead snap, and held the Statue of Liberty pose with his back to the defense, turned around and threw a touchdown pass to Wes Welker. They call this the Patriots Double Pop

  • SWEEEEEEET!

  • name of that song please!

  • "Rock And Roll (Part 1)" by Gary Glitter

  • Comment removed

  • I will never forget watching this!

  • what song is this

  • Song=rock 'n roll part 2 BB was watching his college with this play, same exact one that won boise state vs oklahoma

  • bullshit, this shit has nothin to do with the statue oof liberty play. it's more like a sweet ballorina move

  • Thats what its called, and BB clearly took some of it from the boise state vs oklahoma game, except that one was a run.

  • that actually a reverse of the statue of liberty plat, he faked the handoff, not the pass

  • this isnt the Statue of Liberty trick play...Statue of Liberty is a fake pass, not a fake run.

  • Someone said no one fell for it? The entire D line was stacked up on Faulk who took the fake handoff and every single linebacker moved to the right, noticed their mistake, and stood there frozen.

  • grow up people a play is a play

i know they cheat but seriously

  • lol look at all these haters...

if u hate him so mad why r u watching his amazing highlight? ur dumb kids

  • tom brady is the bitch of the nfl

fuck the patriots go cheat some more

  • he is a pussy.

  • dont bitch cuz hes better than ne other QB if hes a bitch how did he break all those records, when u find out how he cheated on that nd get back to me dont worry ill wait

  • fuck tom brady he a bitch ass wanabe qb that sucks big dick

  • please tell me the part where tom brady says hes a wannabe and whos dick he sucks

  • Your better?

  • get off tom bradys dick

  • Why don't you

  • I believe they were using taped footage of other teams practices or something like that. They definitely got called out for cheating and proven guilty.

So.. :) Smile because your quarterback is weak.

  • If your a professional sports player and your not cheating you dont wont to win as bad. I think sports are all about trying to get an advantage on your opponent and I dont think it should have been considered cheating they were watching a teams practice its not like other teams dont send scouts to do that and YOU are not playing in those games so calm down.

  • Lol dude I had a happy face in my comment and everything. I'm calm as can be. And I could really care less about Tom Brady and some cheaters. Lol at if your not cheating you don't want to win as bad. If you're not cheating your not a fuckin cheater. That's all. Silly guy.

  • your saying that if you don't cheat you don't care as much

  • thats not a statue of liberty and no one on the defense fell for it apparently they need to tape some more of other teams practices

  • Except of course the entire d line?! oh and a few line backers!

  • The patriots called it a "Double Pop". It was similar to a statue of liberty but the running part was the fake instead of the pass.

  • this is no where near a statue of liberty play

  • Dennis Dixon's one in college was so much better

  • this is called play action dippy, not the statue of liberty

  • from all the statue of liberty plays that i've seen, it's always been a fake the pass then hand it off or run it yourself, not fake the handoff and throw it.

  • How is this the statue of liberty? Brady just fakes the ball flying over his head... and THROWS the ball. In a statue of liberty, you hand the ball off..

  • its consider a Statue pass because of the form brady takes as he jumps making him look like he is the statue of liberty, oh and you dont have to hand the ball of watch oregon run thier fake statue lol Dennis Dickson keeps it for a touchdown.

  • In a statue of liberty you hand the ball off with an arm to your side or behind your back, while the other hand is faking a toss. He could be Faking a statue of liberty because he ends up throwing it, but it still just looks like he's faking the bad snap..

  • ya i see what your saying but each team has different variations of different plays. Example oregon has a fast qauterback so they fake the handoff and the qb sneaks in. Patriots-passing team fake kevin faulk taking the snap before it gets to brady and brady has the ball so he throws it (bad defensive coverage on that)
