  • What must i do to believe in the real presence of christ in the bread and wine.Im thinking about joining the catholic church but i dont know.

  • @umaara100 God bless you! And may He guide you in your discernment of joining the Catholic Church.

  • Can someone tell me what it is they're singing as the 'communion' song? It should be 'amen dico vobis, quidquid orantes petitis, creditie quia accipietis, et fiet vobis' But i don't understand it. It's also polyphonic, which is weird.

Anyhow, long live our Pope and the FSSPX!

  • This Mass is SSPX, it is not a sedevacantist Mass.

  • It's Catholic.

  • vive la sspx, la dernier forteresse catholique

  • What are they singing after 2:20 minutes?

  • Ps. 129, 1-2

De profundis clamavi ad te, Domine:

    Domine, exaudi orationem meam:

de profundis clamavi ad te, Domine.

  • Merci

  • i hope sedevacantists will realise that the true pope is still pope benedict 16th. cos he brings the tradition back!!!

  • Has Benedict ever celebrated the 1962/2008 MP mass,... if so, when and can you supply a link or source? Thank you.

  • Thier are pictures of the Pope as Cardinal Ratzinger celebrating the Tridentine Mass.

  • What about since he became the Steward of Gondor?

  • What is the Steward of Gondor? Well he has been putting in more sollemnity into the Novus Ordo. He even gives communion Kneeling on the tounge. He even did so with the Queen of Belgium herself.

  • Right. So, what about my question? Has he performed the 1962/2002 mass since becoming B16? And if he did does that, along with his putting more "sollemnity" into the Novus Ordo, justify his going into synogogues and mosques and praying with apostates?

  • Be patient. If it makes you feel better, he reinstated kneeling for Communion in the New Mass and is very close to bringback the true Anglican Church into the fold.

  • "Reinstated" kneeling for Communion??? are you kidding me? He put on a show at one of the Baseball Park messes.... big deal.

And as far as "true" Anglican Church goes, first off Pope Leo XIII already declared ALL Anglican orders Null and Void. Secondly, as far as Anglicans go, the High Anglican Church (if they have an ounce of brains) won't have anything to do with the N.O. They (The High Anglican Church) have too much class and reverence despite their invalid orders.

  • Well the Pope has declared that in brining back the Anglican Church that he will establish an Anglican rite of the Catholic Church. Just like the Pope established an Eastern Rite of the Catholic Church many years ago. So they will still keep their ceremonies with certain exceptions.

  • @wjweigand Today Benedict celebrated Mass in Westminster Cathedral. Better music than I think he has heard elsewhere in Music and the ArchB. of Canterbury was there after a very emotional Evening prayer in the Abbey. Null & Void yes but as St . Augustine says ' they are our brothers if they preach Christ , true God & true man and pray the Our Father.'

  • @idle44 ????" Augustine says"???? St. Augustine from the 5th century? Can you clarify which Saint your are talking about please?

  • @wjweigand Of Hippo. It is in the office of readings. I can't remmeber what day.

  • FYI, In the Old Rite/Roman Missal, it's not called "First Sunday after Pentecost".. it's called "Trinity Sunday".. just offering that b/c it might throw some people off who are looking for these Propers in their Roman Missals.

  • Good for you cstina. You are paying attention. God bless.

  • May God bless and keep our Most Holy Father Benedict XVI for giving us THE MASS back!

  • The return of the tridentine Mass is great because those who like a more spiturual and BEAUTIFUL Mass will now have the chance. However, it´s not is beauty that saves us. No matter what, Masses said by ministers correctly ordened, be them roman or oriental, will always be the perpetuation of the only and one redemption act of the Cross

  • Amen!

  • It was a very hard lesson to learn from the Vatican Council II... That we are not "ritualistics" which means that we are not saved by the mere repetion of some formulas. Instead we are saved by the crucified Christ, obviously present on the Mass.

  • I think the problem with the traditional catholics is to have a fair opportunity to assist to the mass they prefer, that's all, until now it hasn't been possible.

  • Tridentine mass, novus ordo, Divine liturgy of St john chrysostom, blah blah blah......they are all the same thing. One faith, one baptism, one eucharist, one chirst, our lord.

So what's the problem with 'traditional' catholics?

I find this bickering pointless, there is no such thing as a true version or the God endorsed version, because Jesus did not leave a complete set of instructions as to how to conduct the liturgy. People just need to grow up.

  • What is a "charismatic mass"? I just know Catholic masses...

  • Father Diorio celebrated a Charismatic Mass in Texas, 10000 people attended. Father Diorio celebrated a Charismatic Mass in Oklahoma City, 5000 people attended. Charismatic Masses are extremely unpopular.

  • Latin is making a glorious return! May God bless His Holiness Benedict XVI! At long last, the Holy Spirit gave us a Catholic pope! The Traditional Catholics may come back to full communion with the Apostolic See! And do not worry, our beloved Holy Father will force the modernists to adopt a true Catholic text for the celebration of the Novus Ordo Missae as well. Pray for His Holiness, all ye Catholic faithful! Sebastien Durpratil

  • is no a return, it is the oficial lenguage, a most inteligent lenguage. A fuctur

  • Always good to see a Tridentine Mass, but it's disheartening to see it done illicitly. I am fortunate enough to have an FSSP priest in my town, so I can have a legal Tridentine Mass :). Thanks for the post!

  • What makes you think it's illict?

  • several comments removed to protect privacy; please discuss the matter in private messaging, thank you.

  • Beautiful. Its great to see the church full also.

  • To be honest, this is the first time I see a Church so full! lol!

  • It is alleged that when asked why he "suppressed" the Traditional Mass, Pope Paul VI said that it was because nobody would attend the Novus Ordo.
