1. it's too weak for 90% of meteorites, chondrites. 5 to 16% iron is normal. Bolts need to leap on at 3 inch or more to be effective.
2. testing it on a beach of eroded rock? in realistic terrain, surface rocks will prevent capture, mags are too weak.
3. could be made use-full with the proper mag/field orientation. (Diametrically Magnetized) bar shape, no tube. in my opinion. check out K&J magnetics, they list all info so the choice is easy, price is good.
