The main problem I have with this is you are depending on 9 or more other, mostly inexperienced,weekend thrillseekers to not screw up and you all go for a swim. I'm right up there with everyone else caning you nucklejam. As a kayaker of any level, how can you hope that other kayakers die "in high numbers". That is an unbelievebale comment to make (kayaker or not). You have a serious screw loose and need to take along hard look at your self, and at life. At least we are out her living what we believe in. To quote a phrase "We take these risks not to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping us"

I am a former early 1980s kayaker. You can line up, prepare all you can, be in top shape,etc. A top kayaker will have a roll-less day once in a while. You can paddle all day, get tired, and mistakes happen. It looks impossible to brace and roll in these type of waterfalls. Not something I want to do so again I tip my hat to these guys. If they want to do falls-jumping, do it. It is not giving kayaking a bad image.

You obviously haven't ever had a bad line through something sketchy. You can only prepare so much, but in the end, some lines just don't go as planned. It's a shitty thing to say you hoped alot of them died. That tells me you're probably not a boater after all.

im an instructor u spoon. I know plenty of kayakers and we prepare in advance. I apreciate pushing things to the limits alot, ive been down quite a few tight stretches of water and ive planned out what to do and when with all the correct safety precautions such as throw lines and helpful exit points. these guys show relitivly low skills, being unable to roll or brace properly. I appreciate taking risks and pushing limit, but that should be done the right way. These guys give kayaking a bad name.

I am an instructor too, and know plenty of kayakers as well. That has nothing to do with you saying you hope the guys died. It was shitty to say, so just own up to it. That being said, at least one of the guys I recognized as Trip jennings, who I can assure you is a more than competant boater on solid Class V stuff. Even the pros have a bad day and bad lines, you have no idea how tired alot of these guys were at the point that they didn't roll or brace properly. I've been there, too tired

too tired to brace or roll with proper technique. You can't generalize everyone in the video due to some who had bad technique or were too tired to roll. You have no idea what kindof day they had. Cut em some slack is really all I'm sayin. You can plan all day, but it's no savior if you have an unexpected line. Things just happen sometimes man, even to the pros. I agree some of the guys might not belong on the rivers they got on, but that being said, most of them were probably prepared.
