I use the same prodigy:) I noticed that the hi-speed-rotating-blade juicers leave a half of juice in the pulp, so I additionally bought the manual healthy juicer (Lexen). First, I make a carrot juice in hi-speed juicer, next I extract juice from the pulp (formed in hi-speed juicer). And thanks to that 2 processes, I get twice more juice than from the hi-speed juicer only:))) The double mass of juice - this is it!
I've just ordered this juicer on internet, to get more juice. I basically use the usual electrical juicer (with blades) to extract juice from the carrot, but the pulp from it is still full of juice, cuz when I take a pulp and squeeze it in hand, it overflows a lot of juice, so thanks to that new juicer I will get more juice extra!
Cool.. thanks for the video. This is a great juicer to have where there is no electricity. Like camping and stuff.. How effective do you think it is? I didn't see lot of juice left but don't know how much you used.
Thanks for your demo! I've been juicing for half a century. No, not continuously--you comedian. I've always used a centrifugal machine. I rarely juiced leafy produce. My juicer isn't efficient w/ small leaves. I've only recently discovered that I love the taste of wheatgrass, especially w/ combined with other produce. I've been using a smoothie maker to emulsify leafy produce & wheat grass for about 6 months. Adding water dilutes flavor. This low cost masticating juicer looks like the solution!
thanks for this video. I ord'd the same and Amazon just shipped yesterday. I'm like a kid, waiting... For now, i live vicariously through related videos - sad, but true - ha!
Hey - for your apples, when you cut them, spritz them with a bit of lemon juice or dunk in a cup of OJ - and that will keep them from going brown.
That also works great for if you want to cut your apples and take them to work the next day - they won't go brown at all.
This juicer is great for juicing wheatgrass, but there is no need for juicing other good stuff like fruit and vegetabilies. coz you lose all good stuf ..like fibers..i just mix it in blender ;) ...
@dadosax I'll comment on your blender suggestion. I agree, but for beginners mostly. Just to determine if juicing is for them. I started juicing when I was 11 y.o. in my father's health food store--50 years ago!
Today, powerful blenders & smoothie makers (500+ watts) can emulsify with the help of special blades, stirring tampers & water (add ice to chill). Pour into large bowl w/ 2 layers of cheese cloth & squeeze out juice. Compost the pulp--or find other uses. The juice has plenty of fiber.
so, can it juice vegetables and fruits and get a good juice out of it? I mean stuff like carrots.

I've been told to make baby food from the pulp. Gotta add some moisture to it though. Or maybe paint it on your body?
GixxxerKim 9 months ago
@GixxxerKim Whats the point in making baby food with the pulp after you have removed all of the nutrition with the juicer?
s4oop 4 months ago
@s4oop Not all of the nutrition is removed, especially in a centrifugal juicer. The pulp is pretty wet still.
