Very nice video. The Galapagos Islands are magnificent and Ecuador is doing a great job of protecting them. During one of my nightly internet surfing sessions I was both sad and mad to learn that about 50 or so years ago we had Carribean Seals and due to mans stupidity we made them extinct. We wiped out another whole species of animals. Please Ecuador, do all you can to protect the Galapagos, it is truly one of the worlds treasures.

I found this VERY annoying. that chicane song was introduced to me by this video, and it... REALLY touched me. all I think about when I listen to chicane (quite a lot now) is the galapagos and how much i need to be there >=(

The natural history is of major interest to me, and many others. the endemic species (found nowhere else in the world), the super rare turtles and so on. That's about it really, as far as I'm aware

Also how close did you get to the wildlife(blue footed boobie, tortoise), or did you use a special lens?

I went February '08 (as in very recently). Such a great trip. We went from Baltra to North Seymore, then San Cristobal, then Espanola, Floreana, and finally Santa Cruz.

Great pictures. What's best is that some of the places you've photographed are places I remember very distintly. The Darwin Center and the Espanola blowhole specifically.

Loved the pics! Especially norte seymour...probably one of my fave islands! (second to Rabida) The lava tube on Santa Cruz is amazing! Although immediately after we went through the crawl space the lights went out. Scary...but wonderful! Going back in 1 yr! :)
