These are good, priced accordingly, but for the same prize you can get LOTS of better head-/earphones - the Sennheiser CX300 for example, but srsly - they are NOT the best. Anyone who says so is a fucking hipster with no actual idea about audio reproduction.

Actually, no. Even though I might as well be wrong, what I said is my real and fucking serious opinion. The Koss Porta Pro are really comfortable to wear, I'll give them that, but for the same (or slightly higher) prize, you can get other head/earphones that provide higher audio quality, better sound insulation or at least aren't so hilariously overbassed.

1) All the models in the "CX" Sennheiser line (CX300, CX300II, CX400 and CX500) sound exactly the same. It has been tested and proved. That's one thing.

2) The difference between the Portas and the CX300 isn't exactly huge, soundwise. The Porta Pros have significantly stronger bass, which makes them better for the average (undemanding) listener. The CX300 (or any CX model), on the other hand, have more detail than the Portas could ever hope to provide.
