For next year i plan on buying my first mortar rack, i find an adjustable one online with like 24 shots :D Then i need to find a torch, i learned the hard way not to light mortars with a lighter.......
Thanks for the reply Dave, I'm glad to know my comment wasn't removed because of something I said, I love your videos and always check for new ones whenever I can.
@AllAroundAwesome88 I looked at your channel; my advice is to stop buying only Phantom Fireworks, at least at the retail level. Purchase that book in my video “Where to buy Fireworks in USA and beyond”
Dave, I recieved a nice reply from you for my comment and then I see it was removed and wondered why. I said only good things about you and your videos and your response to me was a thank you for my kind words, what gives?
@gordo123321 No I did not; it was about the wireless firing system. Sometimes the comments spontaneously disappear or they are marked as Spam somehow. My response to you is still posted. I apologize for what happened. I hope I did not accidentally delete it along with the Spam. Keep up the good work advancing your fireworks hobby.
Another excellent video series, Dave. I think winning the prize at the end was God's way of telling you he wants you to review some Black Cat fireworks! The brand looked great, and getting the chance to meet the owners must have been fantastic. Thank you for sharing it with us. Made another late shift at work a lot more interesting, thank you for making my night!
@junrau83 It looks to be a premium brand; because of the time constraints of the video I left out the part showing the internal wooden and cardboard framework on the larger cakes. I hope to get invited back when the artillery shells come in. Now that the video is up any rumors past this point will be from the competition
Thanks for posting another great set of videos! I have been watching your videos since you first started a while back..... anyways maybe someday we will see some of brand down in Florida or at a fireworks convention or something. Looks like they have some very nice product. I really like those color changing stars in the 500 gram cakes.
Unbelievable, you simply make my evenings a joy, sitting and watching your videos, i am a firework enthusiast, and would shoot them everyday if they werent illegal in New York. Keep up the great work, these last videos were awesome, i should of went to the demo myself, but i had to work unfortunately. I hope to run into you one of these days, at one of these events.
@mudwrecker1 If I had my way Ed every night would end with fireworks. Thanks for that compliment. Most guys that were the king of fireworks in New York are in the hoosegow now. But I am looking forward to meeting the new king. I love you New York pyro guys.
Absolutely beautiful breaks! i like this new brand, i really like what i see so far.... the logo looks very similar to Brothers logo.... very nice! the lift on these are just outstanding, nice thump, thanks Dave, checking out the other parts now... the sisters have a great product.... it just blows my mind seeing the breaks and trying to remember that these are still 1.4g consumer stuff.....
Again some great video's you made. It;s very interesting for me. I can't believe this all is customer fireworks. If i saw it correctly one of the fountains has an weight of 25 KG? whats the max. of powder in it? here in Holland it's 500 grams, but one shot only may contain 15 grams of powder (with only 2 grams for the burst) This new sister brand looks very good, Nice colours. Keep up the good work Dave!, if you're ever interested in more Dutch stuff let me know
since u havent really seen to many black cat fireworks
you should make a vid about the fireworks you won that had all the black cats in them be nice to get your opinon on them and see some since i havent seen that many myself either
Dave, i gotta hand it to you, this series that you provided about Sister's brand is amazing! Too bad I live in CA where these great fireworks are prohibited. Consequently, I live and breathe these fireworks via your comprehensive videos! thanks again!
Hi, Being 16 yrs old i know an aerial shell from the inside out and I would like to start making some 4" and up shells. Do i just need a permit to store chemicals and to shoot them off or would i need to get a license at 18 years old? thx
@Godspeed148 Manufacturing display shells is serious business and it requires some serious experience and responsibility. I support younger people learning the craft of fireworks but please, do not attempt to build these shells on your own. Join a fireworks club like The PGI, Western Pyrotechnic Association, The Crackerjacks, MPAG, FPAG or any number of these great groups ... learn from the pros under the right supervision and you'll be building 12" shells for your 18th birthday!
@Godspeed148 No, when you join the club you are covered by the clubs license as long as you are at a club sanctioned event. If you are not at a club event, you will not be covered by the clubs license. Additionally, since you are under 18, you will be required to participate with one of your parents present.
I am sort of in the same boat as you. Like what TasickMedia said, I suggest joining a club. I am joining the WPA for my 18th birthday, hopefully to learn about the legalities and of course to experience the building of fireworks.
Any chance of you doing a video of how to time out and space a finale board properly. I have been able to fumble my way through it but I want a better finale that doesn't look like sky puke this year. Thanks your videos are really informative and I look forward to each one.
It is time for you to move into the small wireless fireworks firing systems. There are many on the market. You need to control the finale. There is only so much you can do with that long fuse. See my video Canon McMillan football fireworks finale 09/11/2009. I did that with a small wireless firing system. However you may need quick match and electric match or alternatives
@ThePappajohnp Thanks for following my videos. This part 5 slipped out before I released the other parts. Please start at part one, I think you will enjoy this series.
