  • This video is inaccurate. This looks more like competitive inhibition. The inhibitor is supposed to attach itself to another point on the enzyme. Sometimes, the substrate can still fit into the active site but formation of products does not occur.

  • @KimberlyAbreu sorry i tried to go for another part of the enzyme but it was hard with the resources i had...competitive inhibiton is when the inhibitor is the actual shape of the active site whereas in non-competive it can be a completely different shape...the concept is still there that it alters the shape of the enzyme by attaching to anywhere by the active site :S
