You are right, they have a horrible keyboard. On mine the keys stick ever so slightly when you first touch them. It goes away after once pressed but comes back again if the note is not pressed for a few minutes. M Audio SUCKS. Everything they make is compromised by the marketing and bean counter department.

price point on these is stupid high. they could be the same price as the original axiom and just lowered the axioms price. I mean really a firmware update a new paint job and the ability for the usb to go 2 way does not warrant the prices they are charging...

YOu must want everything in life for free......It's more than ust a paint job and a firmware update. You should head to a local Guitar Center and Check out all of the things this Midi Controller can do.

NO I definitely am willing to pay for quality kit. but a midi controller made of mostly plastic should not be called PRO &the fact that it is just a new paint job, a 2 way talking usb upgrade &new firm/software/lcd display is sad that someone would try to charge 500+ for it. your ok with those kinds of prices hey great for you.working musicians out there demand quality for what we pay for. and lately the $300+ range controllers have been crap. for that much there should be no skimping.

The fact that the Axiom Pro automatically maps to every single parameter in Abelton, Logic, Cuebase, Reason and Pro Tools with only the push of one button isn't enough? What about having a control surface built into a MIDI controller? Try This, having the ability to switch through presets of a Virtual Instrument without using the QWERTY keyboard or the Mouse? Lastly, having full control over your software from your Instrument?

Do your research homie, this is the direction the industry is heading and if you aren't willing to pay for it to keep up with technology, you will be left far behind! I understand that working musicians need a break and that is exactly what M-Audio has offered musicians for the last 25 years.

calm down there big guy, 5 replys in a row over the fact I don't like to over pay.. ok. yes I have used the axiom pro, & axiom, I currently use the novation remote sl. I'm not happy with the axiom pro or the remote sl. IMHO neither really automaps as good as they could, thats not the issue the issue is in build quality vs. price.& yes I have plenty of gear that works flawlessly with it's software instruments, novation nocturnal, native instruments maschine and guitar rig, m-audio projectmix I/O.

and btw never said those things weren't worth money just not what they're asking as an industry whole. automapping should be standard by now. the keybed on the pro is much nicer than b4 but still they are far distance from the knobs and keys of my hardware synths.

hell I'll take the knobs on my maschine over my novation remote sl. and definitely over the axiom. I just want proper build for the price point. thats all. I'm willing to pay, just make em solid. as it stands I won't gig with an axiom.
