  • Just finished reading an article in 'Pilot' magazine about the Electra that was used in the filming for Amelia - it wasn't this one. They used a french registered Electra, based in Geneva and it was flown by the son's owner (an AF 777 F/O), they did most of the aerial sequences in South Africa.

They did mention that some preliminary filming had been done using an Electra in Canada, but 90% of the Electra seq are of the french one in SA.

  • joe shepherd's plane is the plane on the movie poster, the dvd, and has flying scenes in the movie, and also provided the wrecked lockheed for the crash scene. yes a lot of filming was done with bernard's plane in south africa but joe shepherd is my father and i went with him for the filming for this movie, to get the facts straight. @CR4ZYHOR5E

Alright mate, keep your hair on! I was only saying that I'd read a magazine article that told the story of filming with the Geneva based Electra. If you've got a problem why don't you write to 'Pilot' and take it up with them.

    Nice flying, terrible movie.

    Regards,
