  • "ARGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH WOWOWOWOWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

  • Damn your 1RM had fast bar speed. Wouldn't believe that is your max.

  • bad squat form...

  • ASIAN LEG GENETICS!

  • I love your workout videos!!!

  • lol hes gunna break his back

  • Frank..why do you never use the belt?

  • Nice squats. Man I wish I wasn't so damn tall cuz the cage at my gym can't catch the barbell if I fail all the way at the bottom.

  • who the hell are you to say that frank doesn't know what he's doing... go watch his other videos... if you can bench/squat/deadlift/jump as high as frank i'll email you a check. (you can't) the hell you talking about don't break parallel on a squat i think YOU don't know what you are doing

  • u should read on form and squat off your heels not your toes it'll make u alot stronger not to mention prevent injuries... but very nice otherwise...

  • frank yang will never get injured

  • yeah well frank yang is squatting 365. i don't see what's so great about this guy. i did that as a freshman...

  • .. he weighs 160... he also has a video up of him doing 405. where are the videos of you doing big weight?

  • sure he is squatting 365, its not too much weight, but he is more of a power guy, fast twitch, he is more speed, ie. his vertical jump, box jumps... my PE teacher was a real old school lifter, and he did 2.5 times his bodyweight fora ten rep set, to paralell, or at least he says so....

  • why do u guys use such a narrow grip?

  • because its better than a wide grip?

  • Motion seconded. Grip isn't too essential in the squat though, but a narrower grip keeps the back tighter & therefore supports the bar better.

  • A narrow grip is also a lot safer then wide grip and especially if the bar is positioned quite low on your back.

  • The plates and bars at this gym are heavier (yes i put them on a scale)

    maybe the scales broke?

no company would make the weight heavier or lighter

  • You know the crappy bars that you buy at like Sports Authority? Even though they are called an Olympic weightset, most of those bars actually weigh 30 pounds, and have a low maximum weight capacity of 600 lbs. (made in China)

However, professional gyms basically all have 45 pound bars.

I think this was the difference that frank was talking about.

  • frank:

next video i want out of you is deadlifting the back end of a honda civic.

    dont dissapoint me

  • dang frank maxes out in THREE seconds!

  • how high can martin jump? he's doing 2 times bodyweight but is marginally slower than frank.

  • Frank!!! Why aren't you dunking yet? lol Nice squats fellas, keep it up

  • Frank what brand name is that tang top?

  • These are true squats ! Good job guys ! That dude in the camo pants is a bad ass

  • You are a madman of power Frank Yang.

  • They're doing squat at two times their body weight. I think that's pretty decent.

  • So you can go belittle other people. Sorry.

  • 490...yeah probably 1/4 range of motion LOL

  • i go below parallel

  • haha. no youre not.

  • haha i know its hard to prove cause i have no vid but, i do

  • No. Actually, the lower you go, the better. It helps improve your flexibility and reduces the shearing forces on your knee. The best thing to do is squat until your hamstrings hit your calves. Just make sure to keep your core tight.

  • and it builds up your hammys not just your thighs

  • gatorboy2606 have you ever played basketball with people in the projects before, because i have and i dont think ive ever seen one person with a 40 inch vert, people who make comments like that have no clue how high 40 inches is, and how few people have them. almost no nba and nfl players have 40 inch verticals, and they bust their asses training. look up any past combine or predraft camp for bball and football and count up the 40 inch verts for yourself

  • dont kno wut projects u went to put projects always have a lot of talent there just abunch of kids who get in trouble and arnt fortunante enuf u will c that the guy from and 1 came from the projects and cleared a 70inch pole so ur an idiot.

  • never said their not talented they just dont have 40 inch verts, and i know some do im just saying most dont, seriously man you cant honestly think that most people in the projects who play ball have 40 inch verts, not the ones that i played with in richmond/boston no need to overreact about my views. and you cant just watch a few people on city slam and generalize, their are a lot of people in the projects, 1 person is no proof to me, so just relax, no need for hostility.

  • dude every place is diffrent ther r like 3 or 4 guys in the projects here wher ei live that have 40 inch verts so obviuosly u just got proved wrong talent is ther

  • once again, i never said their was no talent

  • k then shut ur ass up

  • k then shut ur ass up

  • thers guys that r like 5'6 5'8 dunking basketball tell me they dont hav e a 40 inch vert ur an idiot

  • lol how can you say almost no nba players have over 40 inch vertical here ill give you a quick list of who does Vince Carter, Nate Robinson, Allen Iverson,Shawn Kemp, Shawn Marion, Carmelo, Mcgrady, Lebron, James White... should i keep going?

  • If they all got 40 inch vert shouldn't most of them be hitting their head to the rim... I've never seen an nba player get their head level with the rim.

  • lebron can, michael can vince carter can, carmelo can and even dwight howard can and his vert is not even 40 inches...

  • yes most have 40 inch with a RUNUP! no nba players have 40 inch standing becuse they lack raw strength but have good reactive strength

  • i dont believe that, trust me a 40 inch vertical isnt impossible to get if your a good athlete...my teammate in my football team has a 39.5 vert and hes only gonna be a junior next year and nba players had years of training it will be embarassing if they dont have a 40 inch vert..even randy moss vert is 51 inches and 53 while running...if you dont believe me then look it up

  • yes many athletes have 40 inch verts and im NOT saying nba player are bad athletes but its just that very few have good standing verticals and yes i have looked them up officially on draftexpress meaurement history and many have 40 inch max (tmac, vince, nate, ect) but no 40 inch standing.

  • ....and the reason NBA players don't all have 40 inch verticals is because.......wait for it... they don't need it, they don't train it! They just need to be able to play ball at a high level. They are tall, really no point unless your whole purpose of being in the league is to be a high flyer.

If NBA players were to solely focus on vert and dunks then TFB guys would be killing it.

  • Randy Moss does not have a vertical leap of 51 inches. That information is faulty and was provided by a defunct blog. Actually, according to the NFL combine site, Randy Dandy has a vrtical of 39"

  • joe alexander has a picture of him doing that

  • dont know wut ur tryin to say but that was pointless ha

  • actually u would b surprised how many guys out there who have never trained are actually gifted not being racist but most guys in the projects have 40 plus in vertical jumps they play alot of basketball ther very talented just dont have the respect or dignity to actually play sports in h.s

  • Man you could easily rep that max another time man. maybe i should start posting vids of me doing core workouts just like how you do yours. Na that aint gonna happen

  • I don't have nothing bad to say but be careful you do not want to get a hernia or permanently mess up your back

  • agreed... know guys with 40 inches of vertical leap just by jumping on and on and on, trying to dunk, and when they succeed, dunk every day... personnaly I wich I had that much hoops but I dont want to blow my back for 10 more inches of vertical leap

  • response to gatorboy

  • fuck all the haters.

Frank Yang is the man, 370 pounds squat at 150 is sick.

Wondering how your training is now, haven't seen a new vid of you in a long time

  • i got 405 3 times im at 155 i shuld have a video of it soon

  • gatorboy2606, what ur vertical?

  • not last time i checked my vert was 2 years ago in it was a 37in vert

  • what the fuck is up with the dancing bullshit and your a bunch of azn fags

  • 99 percent of trolls like yourself that hates on youtube don't train, and they usualy have some kind of guitar videos on their account.

  • hahah

  • lmao idiots

  • you know what else is annoying, dickheads like you that don't appreciate people training hard

  • Yeah its annoying as hell...strong insecurity

  • nuttin but a peanut

  • U r crazy !!!!!!!!!!!

    haha

  • you boys scare me sometimes. haha =P

  • "JYAAAAAaaAAaaAaaAaAA-AAAaaAaAAaAAHHhhhh.... Wyyyyiyiyiyiyyiyiyyyyyooooo"

  • Thanks a lot :)I'll try plyometrics then squats, etc

  • Frank, you said in your 40 inches vertical leap video that you must do plyometrics when you'are tired? Right? What do you think about a lot of squats, deadlifts and after a lot of jumps on stairs? thanks

  • I don't think i ever said that! you should perform plyos while you are at your freshest state physically, mentally and psychologically. for the best results. more than anything else, Plyometircs is a mental game. The ability to visualize your movement before performing the actually movement physically is one of the most important elements of plyometrics

  • hey frank shouldnt u be pushing through w/ the heel instead of the balls of the feet?

  • YE ha the Franky Reactive Dance hahah

BTW, how come u are not wearing ur "free"...

    :)

  • Good job guys! What's the difference in weights? They are heavier?

  • megaman is indeed mega

  • probably up to 30, 31 inches by now

  • At what time of the day do you do your workouts Frank?

Still drinking muscle milk? I see Martin has gotten Super Strong in his squats.

  • how long have you been working out? and how much do u bench?

  • wow man very nice job

  • Strong. Also a strong good morning in the squat lol. Ever hurt the back?

  • is this the biggest you've ever squatted? just wondering, cuz there's a vid of you box squatting 470.

  • Hey great single frank! Gotta love the seizure hops lol.Are you currently working with kelly baggett or on your own at the moment?

  • i am just doing things on my own now

but kelly's still there to give me advice.

  • Congrats. That's very impressive. Doing it without a belt or anything else makes it even more sick.
