hey gang here I am listening to this terrific song one more time tonight. One thing for sure Freddie Powers is always to Merle's left on the stage, him and Merly go back many years and so did Tommy Collins. I have listened to his style of singing from the start. He is one of a kind from the streets of Bakersfiled. Keep it up. jbk

As usual the finest lyrics, rythmn, vocals, band and delivery and oh guitar pickin from the Bakerfield's best Merle Haggard, he spent 18 months with me on Okinawa during the middle 60's. It's my opinion that Merle Haggard is the greatest country singer/songwriter country music has ever known. I'm not taking away from Willie, Waylon, Cash, Kristofferson, or any of those one of a kind artists who are all gifted writers and performers. Country music has had Hank Sr., Jimmy Rodgers, Lefty F., Bob Wills, on and on. But Merle has written songs and performed through 5 decades. His name, style, sound, and presence all mold into 100 percent country. A true artist second to noone. JMO
