  • way better than the modern fuckery of satana and mclaughlin lol

  • It doesn't get any better than this....

  • A true wonder.

  • a two chord vamp with some noodling over it. What is the fuzz about this?

  • @gillan5 well, it has more to do with the notes played, it has something to do with the intention as well. do any mainstream artists today have the balls to do something as outside the lines (or as simple) as like this ? I think not. They are too worried how it would affect their careers.

  • Isnt it peaceful summer evening?

    the flavor of the sound.

  • as much as i love santana and others john mclaughlin is still the standard they all look up as for guitar playing

john is the greatest and forever will be

  • @it wasn't just his guitar playing but the explosion of composition that he created he practically created fusion his songwriting with mahavishnu is to be cherished talk about a national treasure? what country is he from? tells you right there? america is still in their infancy where europe has already had their dirty teenage days. why is that? who cares. we went through the cycle now it's time to hone down on the beast the evil banker beast.

  • celestial yet terrestrial!

  • santana in his prime, ya just can't fuck with santana in 73!

  • Amazing. Thanks for posting this epic piece of music history.

  • GooD

  • This recording made my day today. Thank you, emmensely!!! May peace & happiness be with you, always. Jason

  • immense

  • one of the super groups of fusion. Rauch, Young joining Cobham is really something special. I've heard a lot of live recordings of this group and this one rates at the top for quality. great sound. this version of A Love Supreme is right up there with studio release.

    thanx for posting this.

  • Yeah, great music, great era. 'Sonata Erotica' is a pretty rare Jean-Luc Ponty record. I don't think it's put on CD jet. It's a live recording from Montreux, 1972.

  • GOD GIVEN...

  • NOOTHER...

  • BEST ERA EVER...

  • This band line-up was almost surreal-beyond unreal. It's rare to find Larry Young or Doug Rauch on any recording let alone together. Doug was a bad bass man with that volume pedal-truly underrated bassist. This is intense fusion at its best. Do you have any rare Jean-luc Ponty?

  • Where did you get this recording? Is it available on CD?

  • wow this is heavy!!!!
