wow you've got an underwater camera!!....is it a video camera or a still camera with movie capability?.....either way the quality looks great!.....nice film too......and shot as smoothly as ever : -)
I think there is a 15 minute limit on the European version, because if it doesn't do that it would have to be sold as a video camera with extra tax added to the regular price (or something along those lines). But I haven't hit that 15 minute limit yet, and I don't think I ever will (I don't even record that long with my video camera).
Thank you! :-) I ended up getting a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1 (called DMC-TS1 in the US). It's sort of like the Sea&Sea, except it has a wide angle lens and the camera itself is supposed to be able to resist a depth of 3 meters / 10 feet (just in case). I'm taking it with me every time! :-)
Thats a nice camera. I love the fact that it can be under water up to 10 ft. and is SAND resistant. Thats a huge plus right there. Are you planning on buying the housing to go deeper like 130 ft ? One more question.. how is the battery life for shooting video - How many minutes till its dead?
Well I already have the housing to go 130 feet and I used it to shoot these scenes as well (these were shot at depths of 10 to 30 feet). :-) I don't shoot video scenes of over 5 minutes, and when recording video and taking pictures during 60 minute dives, I can use one battery twice or more. So, I haven't tested shooting video continuously, but I'm -guessing- the battery life would be about equal to the Sea&Sea.
You can call it muck. I call it supercool! I post a video response ala Mike the Pike
