Well my wife knows how to use our 12 Gauge. If they were in our (Keyword, OUR) house, and she felt threatened, she would fire and I would agree with that. But you can't shoot someone in the back running away who is guilty of a property crime. Just as a police officer wouldn't have been able to shoot them legally if they were running away from them with property. I don't know about you but property (PROPERTY, no lives were in danger!) isn't worth dying or killing for.

Well my wife knows how to use our 12 Gauge. If they were in our (Keyword, OUR) house, and she felt threatened, she would fire and I would agree with that. But you can't shoot someone in the back running away who is guilty of a property crime. Just as a police officer wouldn't have been able to shoot them legally if they were running away from them with property. I don't know about you but property (PROPERTY, no lives were in danger!) isn't worth dying or killing for.

Actually in Texas it is totally legal to shoot someone in the back for property crime. It's called the Castle Doctrine.
Texas Penal Code:
"Sec. 9.42. Deadly Force to Protect Property. A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property: (B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property"
