  • The Led Zeppelin lol

  • mmm people coming on here and slandering the gods. fuck off dicks. led zeppelin are gods.

  • Pop Festival? That must been before pop turned to crap

  • This is when Pagey was using 00.8 strings..

  • when they played japan, did the intro go.... introducink......da Red Zepprin! ?

  • The band didnt grow beards till 1971 - after the release of their forth album...still a great pic!

  • aaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!! my god

  • i thought i would hear..."from Los Angeles California....THE DOORS!!!

  • THE Led Zeppelin.

    Often imitated, but NEVER duplicated.

You've tried the rest, now try the BEST.

  • This is live at Texas festival in 1969 they have a full concert from this

  • Lol at the guy who announces them as "The Led Zeppelin". Doughnuts to dollars he'd never heard of them till an hour earlier. It's like people who say "The Batman". It's just Batman, dammit!

  • @polymath7 actually orginally it was titled "The Batman" instead of just "Batman"

  • @MrShway88 Yeah, yeah, I know, and originally he wore an ash-grey costume and carried a bullwhip like Indiana Jones. It isn't 1939 and hasn't been for quite some time.

  • i thought i was the only one with this bootleg, where did you get your copy?

  • The sound is awesome, the performace full of energy, this is blues taken to another dimension, excellent playing thank you for sharing!!!!

  • Who cares about the oicture, this guys are great, that's what matters, isn't it?

Besides, we all know them and we all love their nusic.

    Long live the Led!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • To the comment about Page sounding like he's "learning to play" its because he is, like all great guitarists, he's always learning

  • My 1st bootleg of Zep was this one ,so is it a sentimental fav of mine. This is the pic on my boot, not the quality but same pose.Funny Jimmy didn't have the beard or doubleneck 8 31 1969. I do love this show.Wis they had some better footage of the guys.

  • i like the "sloppy" guitar, it gives it that genius freeform type of character to the guitar that has been missing since jan 1st 1980

  • "The Led Zeppelin' and oh by the way which ones Led ?LOL .

  • Bah, ppl keep commenting on Page ability, if he is sloppy or this or that...he's a super guitar legend, only Hendrix can appear on the same sentence along with Page.Page and cir wasn't trying to make pop-made-to-sell-records. They we're trying ( and they succeed) to reinvent the wheel. Try to listen to the radio nowadays, or take a look on what they play on clubs, etc. There's no one making anything like Zepp did.It might have, but only a FEW. The truth is that this kind of art..is dead. So sad.

  • @RobertoGaspar69 Not dead. No. Wearily sleeping.

  • 0:50 train kep't a rollin' hahaha jimmy page invented it with the yardbirds not aerosmith :D

  • @MrDonbago It's a song from the 50's not from Page and the Yardbird.....

  • For anyone wondering, "Plays Pure Blues" is the name of the bootleg, not describing what they're doing

  • no its not rock and its not blues its zeppelin the only band who ever played with such fire they are magic

  • thats the only pic ive ever seen of jimmy with a beard lol

  • This was one of the first cd's I got from Luxembourg and I'll always enjoyed this show even though I was not there. I would have seen them live if I could have.

  • Kaz, thanks. there is no complaints here! U know what you are talking about.

  • sloppy? lol...he could extract any note he wished, when he wished and how he wished... besides he's from an era that playing live was all about improvisation and creativity, although they had a telepathic chemistry, they indeed made many mistakes, but THAT is what that made them even greater, instead of go live and play robotic and exactly as in the studio version countless times would be F*** boring. Sloppy or not, Page still and forever will be the greatest, along with Hendrix.

  • @RobertoGaspar69 exactly dude.

  • I want to hear some Rory Gallagher...

  • @SupernalOne

    Hey mate...you are great...

  • Good evening!

(after these words the hell breaks to loose)

  • This is Rock Blues. Not straight up pure stuff.

  • @JustinPierce1226 Blues-rock, not Rock Blues... but whatever.

  • @JustinPierce1226 call the presses

  • I agree, this is not blues. You better take it back to Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy, etc.

  • Whoever posted this video obviously doesn't have a clue what the Blues is, because this is not blues.

  • @Rudee66 its a blues, but not a pure blues.....

  • @zzy66613 not a pure blues... this is rock and roll.

  • @cac1987fcb It's just blues rock.

  • @zzy66613 It's just blues rock.

  • how is this blues? It isn't bad, but I wouldn't call it Blues. John lee hooker, Jimmy rogers, t-bone walk is blues

  • Why is it Jimmy Page seemed like he just learned how to play the guitar in alot of recordings? I like his music.. But I've been noticing that.

  • @RastafariPoet

Jimmy's style was his ability to play and keep it together before it wrecked. He wasn't the most technical guitarist but he could play the blues very well and experimented with new techniques. He wasn't a blues purist like Clapton and he didn't take the guitar itself to new heights like Hendrix but he definitely took heavy music to a new level.

  • @RastafariPoet Eddie Van Halen said everytime he saw Jimmy Page live throughout the 70s, it seemed as if Jimmy was playing with a couple of broken fingers. On one tour that actually happened when his ring finger got stuck in a fence as he was signing autograghs, but whatever.

  • @RastafariPoet what?-you think the rain song was performed by someone just learning the guitar?-he was session musician for yrs b4 zep-ive read some dumb comments-this one ranks up there

  • @rosepearljanis

I asked why did it sound like he just learned to play guitar in alot of his recordings. It was not to be specific to ALL his recordings. Chill...

  • @RastafariPoet it doesnt sound like that-dont post stoopid comments if you dont want a reply-you dont sell millions of records and sell out arenas if your just learning to play guitar

  • @rosepearljanis

Its not a stupid comment.. No offense but you might be exploiting stupidity. You aren't getting it. You're admiration of Page is blocking your judgement. I'm not saying he sucks. I like his playing.. although when he messes up; it makes him sound like he's just learning to play. Besides I wanted someone to reply. Phrydoom & Cabalofdemons did an honest job of replying. Hence the word 'Honest'?

  • @RastafariPoet yea it is-when he messes up what song?these guys saved rock n roll they lived it and each one put many hours into their playing and it shows hes not learning hes inventing theres no point of any zeppelin recording thats a mistake-your comment implies that he doesnt know what hes doing thats insulting and stupid his giutar is what made zeppelin zeppelin ya want honest look into the history of zep and you wont find four people more dedicated to their craft tell me his mess up

  • @rosepearljanis

    Two names.. Jimi & Hendrix.

Anyway.. If you can't agree to the fact his playing can get reallly slopped and sound amateurish at some points.. You obviously simply don't mind it. Therefore, this debate/discussion is pointless. On the side note; Keep listening to Zeppelin and have a good time -- I know I will.

  • @RastafariPoet i think you dont get it

  • @rosepearljanis

    Sloppy*

  • My dad went to this show in Dallas.

  • wow, killer videos. it will take some time but ill try to view them all.

  • Ive always dug the mighty zep...but pure blues?

    Lets not be silly.

  • @BluesGeek actually, in every song they played there are elements of the blues. and i think you didnt listen to the whole video, it also includes i cant quit you babe which is damn pure blues! :)

  • @LeguanMo Ive been follwing zep since 68 -69.

My fave rock band of all time. But no...there is not

blues in EVERY song they played at all. Not that it

really matters, but...they had allot of influences besides

the blues. I can't quit you is great on the 1st release...

but OTIS RUSH....it's not. He's the first artist to record

that Willie Dixon Tune in 1958. It's the title here on

this clip that I have issues with I guess. You want to

hear Pure blues? Go back to the guys Zep got it from

  • Genial.

  • ok. so i always accepted that jimmy page was the greatest guitarist ever but i was never convinced truly that i had heard the it; that xtra unfathomable ability, ...well, divine sparks are flying here, and lord, I am convinced wholly. this is it. he is the guitar god. around 6:00

  • It's same when they used to introduce "The Pink Floyd!"

  • If led is so terrible then why are they one of the best selling bands EVER? Second of all, yeah why in hell would a BLUES rock band play BLUES?

  • Name some of these bands

  • Zeppelin did do a lot of Blues... but this is not a real good example of it hahaha--- a good example is "I can't quit you" -"You shook me" or " Baby come on home"--- it came out a lot during the solos though

  • @slipdrum80

yeah dude the live version of i can't quit you baby at the royal albert hall is amaazing. rawest blues since like... the doors or something.

  • this is not pure blues

  • Agreed. If you want to hear pure blues go listen to John Lee Hooker or Muddy Waters

  • @paolohginc

It actually is, it's blues in a different form.

it has been altered to sound like rock but it still is blues, technically.

  • @edgarrubenvelasco yeah i know it's blues but not in its pure form

  • @paolohginc

That's true, i mentioned that as well earlier.

  • @paolohginc Thank You for that....genre clarification isn't

always easy...but in Zeps case...its pretty easy to access

that they aren't a blues band...in the purest sense on the

term. This isnt a put down to anyone...just a general basic

clarification, for those whose well don't go deep enough.

  • the led zeppelin rocks

  • go ahead so & try them .. u bollix

  • @stonerbudkap im pretty sure that thats the name of the bootleg

  • @stonerbudkap might just do that

    thanks

  • i agree but zeppelin still kicks ass

  • lovin' jimmy's beard in the photo

  • " ladies and gentlemen please welcome THE LED ZEPPELIN"

  • wows these ''the led zeppelins" sure our somptin else eh?

  • You bet! They play this new music that the kids are crazy about called 'rock and/or roll'. Dig that new beat!

  • zep, ha ha ha right on! LZ... whatever rock & roll was in the past, this is the new rock & roll now so listen up people! like it?! well we got more to come! You're hooked now! Resistance is futile! ooo I love it when take command!

This is a fantastic youtube vid. Where's it been hiding?

  • This is a white trash "rock a billy" tune written by Johny Burnett Trio. Not a blues tune.

  • THE ONES

  • HELL YEAH!!! STAND BACK

  • As far as train kept a rollin I like the Aerosmith version

  • jimmy page-guitar

  • hey he welcomed them as "The Led Zeppelin"!

OMG I'm in love! Thanks for this.

  • Have had this Boot for years ,bought it at a music store which they(music stores) have gone the way of the dinosaurs.Out of all the boots I have of Zeppelin this one remains my most loved and Fav,the talent and blues just pours outta of 'em.

  • THE led zeppelin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @thejman10 yeah wtf is with that Ladies & Gentlemen THE LED ZEPPELIN

SHUT UP MAN! ITS LED ZEPPELIN U DOUCH :]

  • @Ledzep69Man hahahahah yah. they wicked have to go over-sophisticated, it's British:) but i like the class of the oldskool liverpool, contrasted against the twisting, brain-melting, electric, rock-blues, of Zeppelin. gives the music even more power; feels like breaking from the establishment :D

  • @celtTheBlackRose yeah i love led zeppelin the blues rock is genius

I alway's loved them and collected all their 9 albums

I don't usually collect all the albums of bands cause i like variety but man There is no bad led zeppelin album!

I love how robert plant wips out that blues harp!

  • @thejman10 nope, the LED ZEPPELIN

  • @thejman10 the led zeppelins is what he said. since there were more than one of them. like the beatles. only one would be the beatle. hahahahahahaha, but still, gotta love it.

  • dude, if you pick a picture, make shure it is a good one :D

    Great music

  • @bluesemile its the perfect pic for this song

  • @bluesemile what does shure mean?

  • @mikecappa make sure that the mic brand shows?

  • @strandwolf very nice

  • @bluesemile why that beard is huge

  • @bluesemile That picture looks pretty rare lol, i dont know much about the rarity of led zepp pics.

  • the led zeppelin?!

  • Tiny Bradshaw, 1951. He was the first to do it, and of course, a bluesy song.

  • The Yardbirds Movie is called Blow Up!!!

  • This song original was from The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page was in the band, well he is still is, just with a changed name, well it's complicated... Train Kept A Rollin'... You can check it out here, but when Jimmy Page recorded this song with the Yardbirds, Jimmy was playing the bass... You can check it out here on youtube... The Yardbirds Movie.

  • chris dreja was playing bass check the film blow up when the title of the song was changed to stroll on

  • Peeps on this page are on some kick ass drugs thats for damn sure!

  • sick of you bluesin bastads, courtney loves me

  • why itf would you even mention ls when you have the best band ever in your presesnce. your thought process is one messed up train. Blues feels crossroads.

  • lynyrd skynyrd is a band not a person

  • wtf mntion nesbitt when you have the best

  • its a band and a person. look up where they got their name from

  • This is so cool. Just when I thought I heard everything.....

  • wow this is so old. They just called them THE LED ZEPPELIN. wow

  • MUSTACHHE.

    Yea i know

    more like

EVERYONE WELCOME YOUR NEXT LEADERS IN MUSIC

  • is train kept rolling recorded in any cd, i can only find it record by the yardbirds and areosmith

  • No Zeppelin never released an offical version of the song althou i heard Jimmy Page did one like the live Zeppelin ones from 1980 for his solo carrear

  • I was 18 and getting stoned to this!

  • i was born exactly 21 years after this show. haha..ah man, the things i've missed out on. goddamnit.

  • I'm 9 days older then you

  • woah, just 2 days away from landing on Plant's birthday.

  • They do rock, but this "Train" is sloppy.

  • lol i was born exactly 31 years after this show

  • best band ever they did everything!

  • Indeed the led zeppelin!

  • train kept a rollin all night long,,,,

  • Woah! Pagey is LIGHTNING fast here..AND super CLEAN.

  • Totally. His early work, especially around this time period, is blistering. There are some fantastic bootlegs from this era that totally blow me away, Page was a machine. He said in an interview that he would go back and listen to the eraly stuff and marvel at the passion they played with. Greatest band of all time. I think this recording was from the Dallas Pop Festical. The recording of how many more times from this show is absolutely insane.

  • haha....."Ladies and gentleman, please welcome

    'THE' Led Zeppelin!"

  • I like this recording very much. Such a modern approach to guitar! The drummer and guitarist are eerily tied in these works.

    Extremely good listening experience.

Would love to hear more of this ensemble!

    Way to go!!!!!!

  • am i to understand you havent heard of Led Zeppelin ?

  • You mean "The Led Zeppelin"? I love Len Zefflin. Check him out.

Now that you mention it.. Led Zeppelin... I have heard him here and there.

Excellent and would love to hear more.

  • You think I'm stupid? I heard that Lynyrd Skinryd died!

ZZ Tops is two gentlemen with beards.

Their music would not go well with The Led Zeppelin. Too many guitars in my opinion.

    I may be wrong.

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd died ? I didn't even know he was SICK !

  • Comment removed

  • i knew basketball coach, and he aint nowhere near led zeppelin

  • I did not understand this. please explain.Thanks.

  • i hope your joking... lol

  • Hope springs eternal.

    The comment remains the same.

  • not really, since it was deleted. please don't post this crp anymore unless your sure it happend.

  • was a good comeback thou

    the comment remains the same...heh...

  • ohwell, thank you.

  • hahaha. clever. sly refference.

  • Just great, no more words. . .

  • best version of i cant quit you by far. RAH comes close though

  • I have a unedited version of I can't quit you babe from the RAH show. Holy $hit is all I have to say. Pagey's solo is out of control.

  • hey could you upload the can't quit you babe version you said? :)

  • sooo..... think ya might what to upload that so we all can appreciate it?please?

  • I am old enough to remember the "british invasion" of bands in 1964 starting with the Beatles. The Brits gave "rock" a badly needed "upgrade". Musically speaking....that era was the most fun I ever had....all these new bands from England that sounded so good and fresh, the clothes they wore, the way they talked. Back then ...if you even had a Brit accent in the USA....girls would throw themselves at you.

  • lol!

  • this is pretty fucking awesome

  • 'the' led zeppelin, lol.

  • it's Train Kept a Rollin' and I Can't Quit You Babe

  • two ping tickie youtube

  • do what thou wilt

  • Aerosmith's version don't touch this!!!!

  • sounds desbraving music

  • I think it's called acid blues.

  • Best version of "Train Krpt' A Rollin ever"!

  • At 2:23 Jimmy is chugging away like a metal madman.

  • "The" Led Zeppelin is probably the most talented band out there.

  • Well thanks for pointin out the obvious.
