SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!! I have a 93 eclipse AWD turbo. I am having multiple problems with it!!! what its doing is when i start it after sitting a day it runs fine. Park it then come out about 45 mins later and when i start it its like its lost all power. It idles really low and backfires when givin gas. When floored the rpms will not go above 2000 rpms. Please help me

I have the 2008 GS (4 cylinder) and I get plenty of performance out of my car despite it being F(ront)WD with no turbo kit.

If this car was AWD with a dual turbo charger DAMN would it go!

I love the looks of the car! its what attracted me to buy the car when i first saw the 2006 model.

Between the Eclipse and its sister car (Nisan 270z) The Eclipse has the better handling and smoother looks.

I wouldn't trade mine in at all!

The V6 will give you lots of performance but you have to deal with a thirsty car and not to mention a higher insurance premium.

Im not too familiar with the 2003 model. it should give you about 260HP if im not mistaken.

@erjohnson227 well i have a 3gen 4 cyl eclipse and i like to drive it kinda hard, so i know a couple of things about the car: Performance: errr... well mine can reach something between 210-225 kmph, and it makes some eye catching burnout starts for sure, but in the highway, i once had problems with a guy in a Mazda6, so figure it out. 3Gen Eclipses are really heavy... the design are kinda cool... but nothing like 2gen was. For performance and if you wanna get an Eclipse, get a 4gen v6...

i've taken my 2008 GS model to 220 Km, it didn't go any faster. US and Canadian models are different because of the emissions standards are higher here in Canada so the speed was reduced. I suppose I could remove the lock on the engine to get to to 260Km but I would imagine higher speed decreases acceleration and fuel economy.

Btw the grill from audi is backwards comparing it to the gtrs, and audi are mostly sporty saloons when the gtr is a jap coupe so....it ain't exactly the same thing. That eclipse has the front grill from a GTR, same shape and size. Looks good don't get me wrong. So why spend 98,900 (to start) for a GTR (if you can even find one) when you can get an Eclipse for 1/3 the price with half the HP.

But I do agree, the front does look similar on both cars. But if your going for the looks, eclipse is cheaper and still looks just as good. I wouldn't spend the extra 60,000 for the extra 224HP! Hell for 16,000 more you may as well get a BMW M6 with over 500 HP! So again GTR loses out. Its too expensive for what it is.
