  • w0w amazing!!!

  • @aktechfreak code is available from MadWorm, linked to from my blog. I want to link to him since I basically copied his entire code.

  • @aktechfreak I had only 3 in this phase of the project. I ended up with 4, 3 for R, G, B and one for the cathodes.

  • That is f*cking unbelievable. Major kudos there. Hope to get that many LEDs someday, maybe I can make a neat array out of them. Seems to be the cool thing to do ;) Most LEDs I've had in a row so far have been just the 8 of my 10-year-old Radio Shack electronic project lab... but with how cheap they are on Mouser, it's really just up to "can I figure out how to use EAGLE and etch up a PCB that can handle them all?"...

Unless, of course... did you buy that matrix pre-made or as a kit, or all DIY?

  • @Volatus I bought the matrix pre-built from eBay and I built the board to power it from scratch. Details are on my blog (link in the details).

  • You're right, the finished product (see my other videos) has 4. This was just a mock up.

  • I am working on a similar project with that very led matrix from sparkfun. i foudn the addressingt o be a bit strange. Check out my videos- i am also working with shift registers. I'd be grateful to look at your code, so I can understand wtf is really going on with those addressing modes.

Those are 3 8 bit shift registers, right?

Hit me back, your project looks awesome!

  • Nice! Is the code available anywhere please?
