The poor thing was so terrified, s/he wouldn't let go of the branch so that mama could pick her up. Fortunatly, s/he made made it down. I am disappointed you did not show a reunion on the ground.

Cats are loving animals. I love dogs and cats both are loyal.

We have had a male cat for 13 years. Brought two little kittens in, different mothers and he has no relation to them and still follows them around outside and goes and grabs one whenever one strays from him. He keeps them safe. :)

@lunog lol and I suppose you're so expert on tree climbing that you could have gotten the kitten back down safely then? If you looked more carefully, you'd have seen there wasn't any footholds for a human person to climb that high. Only something as good climber as a cat could have gone that high. And then you got the nerve to accuse the owner of putting the kitten there.. ofc it climbed there on it's own, did you put a blindfold on yourself so you didn't see it come back down? >_>

There was simply nothing the owner could do at this point to get the kitten down, except watch and encourage the mother cat to fetch her. I'm pretty sure mother cats are perfectly equipped to handle their kittens, whatever they do or wherever they go. And in the end it turned out ok too.

There are two reflex actions at battle there in the kitten. The grabbing reflex which prevents it from falling while up a tree and the relaxing reflex when the mother has it by the scruff of its neck. The grabbing reflex is clearly the stronger of the two. Or is the kitten making a judgment call? Is it thinking, "I'm not letting go, even though my mama wants me to"?
