@ZioZambe Everything is real. :P It's different to the studio recorded version. Watch the video of Reincarnation, it's incredible. There is a singing solo in there that's just... impossibly perfect. And completely different to the soundtrack version.

And I had the confirmation that the vocal technique is Enka. I am not very knowledgeable in traditional Japanese music, so I didn't dare say something wrong ;)

Whoa whoa people - I really REALLY don't think this is supposed to be a 'heavenly' or 'godly' song - especially combined with its scene in 'Innocence', this is supposed to be a morbidly dark and abyssal, almost demonic song. what are you talking about man?! while Asia maintains some unique musical elements, the west developed most of the theory that is now used in composing the vast majority of their popular and cinema music! I mean, Yoko Kanno composes primarily in standard American forms like blues and bebop jazz, while this relies heavily on established classical motifs and progressions! I won't deny that it's beautiful and inspired, but let's give credit where credit is due!
