Most of these scenes would have made Serenity a better movie. For the casual viewer, for example, the reasons for implanting the subliminal message were unclear (to cause a scene and give them a lead), and the extended Operative thing would have been good. The Inara scenes would have helped non-browncoats understand more about the Inara and Mal 'relationship,' and so on. Of course, the Inara ones probably demanded a romantic subplot which probably would have sucked.
Wait, didn't Joss once say of a cut scene where River's having some kind of dream, and her foot touches the ground one toe at a time, and the scene was cut because it took audiences out of the scene? I wanted to see that!

I only found Firefly 2 months ago, and it shocked me to only find 13 episodes.
If only I could have supported it somehow when it originaly aired...so sad.
