Everyday I listen to my home country music. I just play it loud in my house and dance to it. This song was the greatest song of the group.

And so you should always be very proud to come from DRC! I am Australian (born 1944) and love to dance to Soukous. There is nothing like it in the whole world. I like many different forms of dance and music but ALWAYS come back to Soukous and the DRC.

So Ngouma Lokito played for Bozi too? Wow this dude must have a big resume with a big list of credits of musicians. Too bad his english is not too strong tho but hes gifted.

Ngouma says when Anti-Choc was in Congo, people love their Congolese Rumba (you hear some at the start). The leader, Bozi Boziana, now in Paris, was told by Ngouma that people there wanted something different..."soukous." And Bozi composed "Queen of Sheba" - you hear it - with Ngouma playing bass. At the end Ngouma talks about how styles are constantly changing and how he tries to change something about the way he plays, every day of his life.

Thanks for introducing me Soukous. I have a lot to learn and it's difficult for me to understand much of the interviews because of heavy accents, but the music is so infectous. In time I will learn more. Thanks for posting all of these. JP
