i understand that the 2D spinning water thing is easier, and i'm fine with that; that design SPECIFICALLY looks very little like water.
well, it's fine, but i imagine the water would be on the edge of land, and since that would prevent me from seeing the side of the closest layer, THAT is why it wouldn't look like water.
maybe try to do something like the affect from LOZ: Wind Waker. That doesn't look like it would take too much to run.
Reminds me of the water from Legend of Zelda Wind Waker graphics. Not sure why. lol

so are you planning to use this anywhere?also correct me if im wrong but is the water just an amagloration of sprites all spinning on an axis?
poorlymadeproduction 7 months ago
@poorlymadeproduction not likely, and yes its just simple sprites rotating and the position is randomly moved in a 3d space.

@thetooth54 cool@ I also jsut noticed the particles emiting from the edges how did you do that?
poorlymadeproduction 7 months ago
@poorlymadeproduction Those are AUX particles emitted from the main. the programs i used for this is AfterEffects, with trapcode particular.
