46joe is correct. The gorgeous Cherry Gillespie wasn't part of the troupe in 1970. In fact, I seem to remember her jumping out of an egg to join the troupe on TOTP!
@kentishtowncowboy SHE JOINED AT CHRISTMAS 1972 AND SHE WAS "WRAPPED UP" AS A CHRISTMAS PRESENT AND ALL THE OTHER GIRLS UN WRAPPED HER ON THE TOTP SET.
Hands down the worst performance Pan's People ever did on "Top of the Pops". I'll watch them dance to "Do You Wanna Dance" a hundred times, but not this one. The worse use of a green screen since The Beach Boys sang 'Good Vibrations' on "The Ed Sullivan Show" two years before. And what do both performances have in common? There were two examples of why the world had a nervous breakdown in the 60's (and the people are still feeling that legacy).
I don't think I like this part of Pans People over all body of accomplishments.....it's kinda macabre. But I do have to say.. their range of doing things are really good.
When I die, I want to stay dead, I never want to have to get up in the morning! However, I still think Louise Clark, (that's the slimmer dark-haired one) is one of the best looking women of all time!
Too bad I didn't grow up in the United Kingdom. England got Top of The Pops, Pan's People and glitter rock back in the 70's. America got Donny and Marie, mellow rock and roller disco.
This is greater than the entire history of religion. Jesus and Moses were a couple of cunts who could NEVER have learned a Flick Colby dance routine. So FUCK YOU nay-sayers!
although the song may be from 1970....the preformance is definatly not...as you can see "cherry" is dancing with pans people...and she did not join until christmas 1972!

BiffaBacon - you've obviously got superb taste, but I bet I'm older than you, so just remember I saw her first!
(If you've ever seen clips of PP being interviewed, don't you think Louise had a fabulous sexy posh voice, or was that just me?)

I am very confused. Somone has said this performance is not from 1970 but 1973. Why would they change the date of the broadcast?
