well, no i don't think you have empirical or even logical proof of that. you just have very strong reason to induce that there is no god, which is almost as good as total certainty.
CO actually clarifies this in one of his videos, he's gnostic in regards to the claims of god thus far due to logic and the internal contradictions of those propositions, but he's agnostic in regards to any being existing that could be perceived as a god. I think this fits with most people.

What always strikes me as odd is that every time there is an argument between a theist and an atheist, the theists always fallaciously insinuate at a point or the other that whatever they are debating is just like them.
For instance that science relies on faith, or that atheism is a religion, or that we worship this scientist or that that other scientist is our ''prophet'', that not believing in their god requires just as much faith, etc...
That line of reasoning also reminds me of the common theistic fallacious argument regarding atheism as cause for atrocities (Stalin, Pol Pot, Hitler (?), etc...)
Even if their premise was true (which isn't), it still doesn't make their religion less responsible for atrocities.
The PBS series NOVA did a special about the archeology of the Bible. They had all these smart archeologists who looked at the evidence then tried to reach conclusions. Then there was this other archeologist who seemed hell-bent on finding archeological evidence to support the Bible. Can you guess which dig was his? That's right! He thought he had found the City Of David. Needless to say, the other archeologists were somewhat skeptical of his claims (even his assistant didn't buy it).
