This is really beautiful. I recently read an article by Somerset Maugham on El Greco. In the article there is a long passage where Maugham makes a case for the proposition that it is within DESIGN--in DECORATION--that the truly expressive, the truly personal, the truly fantastic reside. This piece, minimalist in the best baroque tradition, is a good example. It mus also be said that the garage band technology here works is service of the design by calling attention to it in an unabashed way.
