Thanks for the nice comments on the video. I did the time lapse by combining the individual shots (about 500 of them) into videos using Adobe Photoshop. I combined the two video segments together and slowed them down a bit using Adobe Premiere (CS5).
Yes, occasionally. We have seen them about a dozen times this year.
