Oh man, thank you VERY much for creating and uploading this video. I'm a psytrance producer who knew nothing about how to make glitchy IDM percussion until now. Awesome stuff.
actually that's not the latest from the animal kingdom and acid pro, two rock badgers just released a compilation, and they are on twitter trying to get signed. bah, twitter is so kool aid.
You are right, it is Cubase. I thought it was Sonar with a custom tool bar.
If you are looking for a DAW check out Ableton Live. I learned Ableton, Cubase, and Sonar and find myself using Live a lot, especially if you are doing experimental or IDM. I rewire with Reason with fantastic results. It is less buggy with rewire than the others.
Have you tried changing your audio settings in cubase? Are you using an ASIO interface?
cool videos man, really helpful. What is this 'glitch machine' thing you're talking about is it a part of kontakt 2? I dont understand where the glitching effect is coming from.

It sounded good like half way through the first vid, then you just kept fucking with it and killed it tbh.;\

depends how you use it really. I mean at the half way it was a very sick drum but at the end it's more of a texture.

Is Konkrete 2 compatible with FL studios?

Is there a way to get that Kontakt program running through Reason like you have it running here through Cubase?
crieswhicharewings 3 years ago

is this cubase?

Looks like Sonar to me. This would be awesome in Ableton Live because of the workflow and ease of resampling and routing.

wow sonar has come a long way then, I still think its cubase.
Im trying to get away from FL studio, I like to rewire but there is problems with that too.
I dont like the way the samplers sound in FL. They have that (fruity) thin sound. Tough to explain. Reason is a bit better.
I cant Rewire Cubase into reason though cause I get this terrible syncing problem.

Hi,
The Glitch Machine is part of the Konkrete 2 sample library for Kontakt 2. It's made by Soniccouture

Cool. I'd like to hear how you create a longer phrase.
