i read a while back that using soda or starch on carpets makes it diffucult when time to shampoo....the vacuum never gets all of the soda or starch up and when the water from the shampooer (is that a word lol) that is clogs up.....just wondering....love the idea though...thanks for sharing

And I used to buy the glade carpet fresh and I always saved those containers so thats what I will put mine in I am fixin to make some right now let you know later on how I love it!!

@shellyshell26 Hi, Girl! My carpets are light (ivory/tan mix) and the mix didn't stain. Remember to use it first on an inconspicuous space first. Okay, I'll make the air freshener! LOL!
@livinmybestlife Hi! I did not yet you CAN use corn starch :) I looked it up for you. Here it is. Carpet Freshener - Cornstarch is also a great substitute for products like Carpet Fresh. Just sprinkle cornstarch on the carpet as you would any powdered carpet deodorizer and vacuum it up. Your rugs will smell clean and fresh.
Some demonstration would also be helpful.
