Papa Rappa:That game costed OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    PaRappa: WAT 9000!?

  • @TheOrangeloveant thumps up!

  • 2:20 Imagine if you played as Parappa's dad in this level. I would die of laughter.

  • those some fancy rapping-dog skills.

    OBLIGATORY COUGHING JOKE

  • Parapa: Thank you dad, I'm proud of you too...

NOW GET THIS THING OFF OF MY FACE!!!

  • They should seriously make a new one for Ps3. Or atleast make a cartoon show...or something! This would be a fantastic show for children.

  • @oneupdawg there was a tv show of parappa in japan

  • 3 things

1.Katy's VA in this game SUCKS

    2.Does Lammy have ANY lines?

and 3. This is probably my second favorite song in the game. The first being the one after this.

  • @glovestrong48

Lammy has some lines,I know 2.

    HELP!!

    and

    Leave it to lammy!

  • @Skymin50 And "Don't say that!" so there's 3.

  • Any know the name of the song at the beginning 0:01 to 0:04 can't find it on OST

    Bad:: NES Style

Awful: Is The Atari 2600 Style.

  • dang mooesha be all up on that court xD

  • what happens if you fail this level?

  • ...all you could ever eat is noodles.

  • Who'd make a game where the penalty for losing is that you can only eat noodles?

  • On the back of the case, the opponents are known as P2 Sensei All-stars.

  • "You'll give it to me good."

    LoL

  • Oops, I forgot that Ethan Eubanks has returned as well for the first part where he says, "Cut the lettuce, (THROW) toast the buns" instead of "Cut the lettuce, (THROW) warm the buns" like in the Japan/PAL version, I believe.

  • Also, in the goofy "With the shampoo, you'll give it to me all" part at 6:30, shouldn't that be "You'll give it to us all"? BTW, I'm surprised that you breezed through the whole game in Good Mode without a rise or decline in the Performance Meter! Well... except for the final "With the shampoo, etc." part, but it doesn't matter anyway, good job! :)

  • :) at the part when Parappa drifts off to sleep with the virtual console on his face, as if the game steals your soul at 2:54-2:55. Plus, Dean Bowman and John Simpson III return once more for the third part of "Food Court" that is altered in the "I am the man, you all know my name?" part, especially with the overdub at 4:52-5:01, when the line was originally "I am the lord, you all know my name?" Cool NES music that fits the real-life voices, BTW.

  • LOL the overdub is completely noticeable.

  • The Parappa Medley. Awesome.

  • at 0:29 you can see the food court game

  • pet stone......lul

  • guru ant is the man

  • Dang, you messed up a little bad near the end... *Whirr*

  • Even in 8-bits it rocks!

  • It's good quality like this that leads me to believe that all comparisons to Simon to are an insult

  • DID KATTYS VOICE CHANGE?

  • yes it definitely did, she sounds younger. everyone else is the same

  • ...and Parappa

  • To Technomusic123:

    Horribly...yes... *Whirr*

  • I love this game..

What's the three things at the bottom? I never knew that though.

  • Katy's voice changed D=

  • guru ant is the best part love the intense!

  • 5th dudes part.. the tune gets catchy i like that

  • true!

  • this is just like like an over view of the songs good times good times :P

  • This song is surprisingly catchy... I love it! XD

  • No, I can't find the game in stores! XP

  • i try singing along with parappa the rappa its a little fun

  • haha from 0:12-0:16 it sounds like someone toking up! :P

  • Oh god

    You're my hero.

  • Aww...I like nudools.

  • 5:55 best opening

  • At least that it does not have a red screen like the cursed Virtual Boy.

  • it was funny in the end...

    "I made you look YEAH"

  • the 'I gotta believe' sequence was a little.....strange.

  • I like lesson 3 in this video

  • Rofl @ 5:49 - 5:54

  • when Parappa said slide it sorta sounded like if he was saying sly.

  • Virtual Boy???

  • and if there's something wrong with that, then you seriously have issues buddy. Shoot I'd buy it, I'm pretty sure a lot of people would too, the game developers are good, they'll know how to deliver it on the ds.

You can't complain about that, new super mario bros practically uses the top screen and the bottom displays your score and item, (only touch feature is to select the item, and that could easily have been mapped on the select button). And that game sold extremely well.

  • Okay. Here's where I'm going to stop discussing my opinions. Obviously, we don't agree. That's all fine and dandy, but now you're misjudging me, telling me I have issues because I don't share the same views as you.

I stick to my opinion on how I don't believe Parappa would not be as fun on the DS. You can disagree, but I honestly won't care. I have my reasons, I stated them, and it seems because of my reasons, I have issues. Good for you if you'd buy it on the DS.

    Thanks for the debate, Buddy.

  • it wouls be cool if they made this into a ds game

  • The way its set up, it wouldn't be as much fun on the DS.

Unless they completely rework this game, you probably wouldn't even USE the touch screen.

Plus Sony already made a psp version as a special re-release :P

  • are you sure about it sucking on the ds? I don't understand, are you just being a hater..? This game can be easily ported on the ds whether you use the ds specifics or not.... I mean come on, elite beat works, guitar hero works, this game can work too...

  • ...How am I a hater when I happily own my own DS? Yeah it CAN be imported onto the DS, but imo, the way the game is set it, it would need to be seriously revamped.

The reason why I say it would suck on the DS is because, Parappa mainly uses buttons for gameplay. Obviously, i'd expect the game to make use of the touchpad on the DS. How will that work? What will they do? What, you press buttons in one corner? That's boring.

EBA is awesome, Guitar Hero DS is not.

  • you versus the many people who bought guitar hero ds and play it to this date. And for the record, Parappa the Rapper only uses six buttons, which of course the ds has. It would be cake porting it to the ds. And you should use your imagination a bit more, i mean they could esentially dedicate the top screen as the display, and the entire bottom for inputs, it doesn't have to be one corner. Many touch based games take advantage of the whole screen, you own a ds, you should know that...

  • Of course there are going to be people who bought guitar hero and kept it. That's expected.

Yeah, it could be easy importing it to the DS, but frankly I believe the game wouldn't go well with the DS. I've been using my imagination, and to be quite honest, Parappa on the DS just doesn't sound as much fun. To have one screen for gameplay and the other for input would be rather distracting until you memorize the placement of the lower screen and even so, memory can't ALWAYS serve well.

  • The distance of the screen does not matter. What matters is what you focus on. And if you say they can display it on the bottom, then what would happen to the other screen? I mean you already suggested that both screens would be used. :P

The idea that Parappa would transported onto the DS as exactly the same game with nothing different to fit the DS' style is the exact reason why I say its not as much fun.

Its like playing the psp version with two screens. ;P

  • I meant sort of like the style of elite beats. One screen can compliment the action that's taking place on another screen. You said it yourself, that game is awesome. If they did parappa like that it will work no doubt. Come on dude don't be dense... yeah dude and exactly my point, it will be the same game. So does it matter? It will be the same exact game that people love, and an additional screen whether it be used effectively or not even used at all makes the game "not fun"? Okay? -_-

  • I'm not being dense. I'm stating my opinion. Rather cordially, I might add :P If someone doesn't share the same views with you, it doesn't necessarily mean they're dense.

Anyways, I don't think the way EBA is set up would work for Parappa. Even if both screens are used, you usually focus on one screen until the song "breaks" and the action continues on another. Parappa is set up rather differently which is once again, why I do not believe it flows well with the DS.

    Same game, wrong environment

  • you still aren't getting me...

I don't mean that Parappa should follow EBA, all the action can take place on one screen, and the other screen can be used on random bits that don't really matter just like EBA. The game can still be the same exact thing...

Okay lets make it easier, how about no touch/mic features, one active screen, all button based? Yup seems find to me, since the concept of playing games on the ds is too hard for you. Same exact game, a port to be exact.

  • For all the arguments for/against porting Parappa to the DS, people seemed to have overlooked the main reason PaRappa will NEVER be ported to the DS: The game itself, while developed by NanaOnSha, was PUBLISHED by Sony itself. It's pretty much exclusive to Sony's systems.

  • @MiketheCabbie on the game "Tamagotchi corner shop"(for the DS) it says:"from the makers of Parappa the rapper" So they could make it for the DS(?)

i'm sorry for bad english, i am german XD

  • if they make a part 3 they better bring back the ant guru and the onion guy sorry his name escapes me now

  • master onion

  • love this song

  • Why does parappa not like noodles? As long as they're not over or under cooked they're fine.

  • he ate to many and got put off of them. =3

  • Those are some skinny mutha******s

  • I've always enjoyed Stage 6 because of how the scene changes depending on how good you are. Gotta love Hairdresser Octopus' part of it!

  • I love the chip tune rendition of Master Chop's tune

  • Where can I get this song?

  • Anyone else notice that Guru Ant sounds like Busta Rhymes here? He sounds a lot different from Stage 3, it seems.

  • every gamestop/ walmart/ best buy

should have like a retro place where you could buy psx, dreamcast crap!!!!! It aint right

  • I love the Ant Guru Food Court Version of this level!

  • Yeah, it's hot. The 8-bit remix is something else! They need a new PTR, now!!

  • God! Parappa doesn't like noodles. Don't make him eat them if he doesn't like them

  • He likes them, he just tired of them.

  • Woah woah woah...hold on a second! "A picture of me and my wife on our honeymoon. She used to be really nice" What happened to Parappa's mom? Because in the first game, the dad said "What am I going to tell your mother?" Sorry if I'm thinking too hard but this is bugging me a bit

  • Something shortly afterward, I guess!

  • Or maybe she moved far away.

  • thats like the bathroom level in parappa 1

  • only there's no bathroom :P

  • yeh

  • every gamestop store is retarded

  • word up

  • XD so true "work is for people who can't play video games"

  • I love this stage! This makes the songs sound so old-school. Pretty Catchy. lol

  • is parappa akid or a teen?

  • he's a teen; he got a driver's liscence in the first game's 2nd level, apparently from moosesha's sister.

  • parappa is a teen i because in the first game he got his licence.

  • Maybe it's because of his height.

  • hes 15 years ya can look it up on da website

  • Hey! Thats right! And he was also born in Tokyo in Japan! I thought he was american!

    Talk about surprise!:D

  • I love how Parappa does the "I GOTTA BELIEVE" with the game on his face.

  • Yeah, he looks so awkward jumping with a giant machine on his head.

  • lol, you notice he basically falls over afterwards right?

  • That is actually what helps the awkwardness. A lot. :D

  • this level is cool. i love it when you mess up, the images go to 8 bit graphics, and then like atari 2600 graphics. i think the music quality changes too. that'd be awesome if you could post a video showing that. i think it's this level...

  • I believe someone already did make a video just like that from Awful all the way to cool. It's awesome too! Do a search I am sure you'll find it! (^_^)

  • you're right. I swear I watched that one before and all I saw was cool but here it is; the internet proving me wrong!

  • Uh-oh. If you don't clear this game, you'll have to eat noodles until you DO clear it!

  • oh shit!!
