One wise ass night I decided to take a 4 mil black plastic slice and some para and build a tarp shelter thingy and weather the storm I knew to be on the way. Set the tarp and the hammock then built a fire on an old satellite dish to keep out the water and waited for the storm. Forget sleeping in a 45degree rain I spent all my time moving from spot to spot trying to stay warm. A 4m sheet of plastic deflects a lot of heat to your back I was surprised how warm I was. I built the fire under tarp.
