  • nice! hopefully, ill be able to fly like you one day :)

  • look at : youtube.com/watch?v=G6cfwH8BHj4 ....

  • Can you do those stuns without the upgrades? Like straight out of the box?

  • @andreaznill Yes. Actually, my only upgrade for this video was Heading Hold gyro Futaba GY240. At that time, the BeltCP was assembled with only an acceleration gyro, not Heading Hold. As I'm aware, they're now supplied with Esky HH gyro, which should do the job. Maybe not as good as Futaba (because I have no experience with Esky HH gyro), but other than the gyro, the BeltCP in the video is completely stock with stock transmitter.

It's all in the description of the video ;-)

  • great (100 times)... i don't think my belt doest it... I suppose it's totally different from the original... can you tell how much have you spent to change your heli this way? what have u change?

  • @mcavalcantesouza Thank you! The only thing changed is the gyro. I removed the stock, which wasn't even Heading Hold one way back then, and placed a Futaba GY240 gyro. I never used Esky LiPO. I used MegaPower 2100mAh 15C battery. Everything else was stock.

You think that 2008 BeltCP was better than the latest version? IMO, the latest version should be improved and even more capable.

I think you can do it :-) You just need to practice. If I could do it, you can too :-)

  • got offered one of these for £100. Are they worth it for a beginner?

  • @connell256 You can compare prices with these online shops: rc711 dot com or heliguy dot com.

    It's a perfect beginner's helicopter.

  • @AndY1ksi just bought one :) gunna keep the trainer things on it constantly until i can get it to hover in the wind! is it possible to upgrade the receiver to a 2.4g? (and a 2.4g transmitter) as i heard its alot better.

  • @connell256 Yes, it is possible, in fact I did it. I upgraded to Spektrum DX6i (TX) and AR6200 (RX).

  • @AndY1ksi cheers! will see if i can pick up them cheap anywhere.

  • @connell256 I bought it here: heliguy dot com/Extras/Radio-Transmitters/Spektrum-DX6i/

  • Nice Flying, I am new to this and have the same Heli. I am still in the hovering stage, hoping to get your level. You recommend the DX6 transmitter, how much more would that transmitter help? I was thinking about up grading to a better transmitter but was going to wait until I got better at flying, also how difficult was it to set up your transmitter to your heli?

  • @bnchinook Hi and thank you! You don't need to change the transmitter yet. You'll know/feel, when you've grown and overgrown your TX needs when it won't offer you setup DX6i can (throttle curves (Idle Up, Normal),pitch settings,.)

I was flying with the default Esky TX for a long time.

Setting up a new TX isn't hard. I got a Spektrum DX6i TX and AR6200 receiver. You replace the Esky RX with a Spektrum one, connect the servo wires, set your trim points and do a little programming - just settings.

  • Thanks for the great and interesting footage.

  • @birdmanbl You're welcome.

  • whcih one do you think is better

KDS 450 clones or Honeybee Belt Cps

  • @y512516 I'm sorry I can't help you there. I've only flown BeltCP in 450 size class, so I can't compare it with any other.

  • @AndY1ksi

    Its alright

    I will ask others

    BESIDES FROM THE HOBBYSHOP!

  • Nice video and cool laugh at the end :P

  • @crazypaintballer97 Thank you :-)

  • your skills are great i like this video

  • @callofduty1944 Thank you! If I can do it, anyone can :-)

  • Thanks for the vid, I enjoyed watching it. I only just started with a Lama V3. I intend to move onto a Belt CP V2. In my video response I'm getting lessons on a Vario.

  • @WillemsoordRC Thank you! I'm sure you'll do well. Anyone can do it. It's just a matter of time :-)

  • whats the difference between a DX6i and the stock transmitter?

  • @heberorozco Build quality is much better, it requires only 4 batteries, it's programmable, including the gyro channel, it's more precise and more personalizable and you can program it for many different helicopters and/or airplanes.

  • im not a beginner to helicopters but i am far from a pro. do you think i could safely learn to fly this helicopter and if so can you advise me to get this one?

  • @BLTRINIDAD Anyone can learn to fly helicopters, it's only a matter of devotion and time. Make sure to get a landing gears' cross to prevent flipping the helicopter when landing and taking off. It will also make your helicopter more stable :-)

  • Well done on the flying. I have purchased a Belt CP V2 2.4G a year ago and crashed it twice and it was left on the shelf. You have made me realise the only way to learn is by using a computer simulator. You got to crawl before you can walk. What simulator did you use and did you find it any good. Good luck with all the helicopters you may purchase. Cormac

  • Thank you!

I've used and I'm gonna have to reuse, since it's been a while, AeroFly Pro Deluxe.

  • Hi Andy, Thanks for this..Happy flying and thanks for taking the time to respond back. Cormac

  • You're welcome. I'm glad I could help :-)

  • do you now what is wrong with my gyro??

check out my video on my channel!

the name on the video is: honey bee king 2 gyro problem.

  • Check my reply in your video. I'll try to help you.

  • how long did you trained???

  • Aprox. 3 months in a simulator and 3-4 months in real environment.

  • i recomended aerofly pro deluxe or phoenix rc simulator!!!!!!

  • Yes! I trained with Aerofly Pro Deluxe and I can recommend it.

  • Najs! Very nice! I´m right now waiting for my first rc-helicopter ever (at the post). It is a E Sky Belt CP V2

  • Congratulations!

Make sure to train enough in the simulator first ;-)

  • Great flying, I broke mine on a hard landing.

Waiting for the parts to come in.

  • Thank you!

I broke mine, once, also. I was just about to land when my right servo died. Helicopter started to go the the left and there was nothing I could do, but there was a problem.

There were people and cars parked, where the heli was going away to.

The only thing I could control was to go forward or back. So I moved the stick full forward, cut the engine and ditched it into a corn field.

It was damaged somewhat, but I had it fixed the same night :-)

Luckily, I had all spare parts I needed.

  • Dear mandrakezu, stop spreading lies.

For BeltCP to do that, it takes stock BeltCP, stock Esky TX&RX, stock servos, Futaba GY240 gyro and a LiPo battery. Please, read the video description next time.

Watch at 0:19 seconds and tell me, what transmitter am I holding in my left hand? It's stock Esky 35Hz transmitter.

I can't help you, if you can fly like this with the above setup.

  • And please observe at 0:41, where it can be clearly seen, that the tail servos is stock Esky analogue servo.

The only mod on this heli was a Futaba GY240 gyro and MegaPower LiPO battery (which is not really a mod).

    Best regards!

  • @mandrakezu not true. i can do everything he is doing in the vid plus way more. all i did was change the gyro. so sorry my friend but you are incorrect

  • How much harder is this to fly than a honey bee fp v2? Ive had a coaxial for 2 years and just bought a honey bee ( waiting for it in the mail ) and thinking of someday upgrading to this. Great video! Thankyou

  • I have never flown Honey bee, but I think it should be easier since Belt-CP is heavier than Honey bee, has longer rotor blades and more precise gyro.

  • Thanks for the reply! Maybe the reason why people recommend the honeybee fp v2 as a first single rotor heli is probably because it's cheaper to buy and repair than the belt cp if you crash which a new person would.

  • Super helpful video! I like how you explain all your steps. Nice flying!!

  • Thank you!

I like helping others and I try to make it as understandable as I can. I hope it helps :-)

    Thank you :-)

  • Nice flying man! :) Gy240 it's good gyro for little 3D ?

  • Thanx!

GY240 is a very good gyro. The only thing it lacks is digital servos output and setting gain via the separate channel. But in the case of stock Esky's TX, that's an advantage, since Esky's gyro channel setting is cr*p and GY240's gain setting is set via the pot on the gyro.

  • @AndY1ksi Great!! i must buy this gyro :D now i have telebee it's not bad... but when i do flips or frontflips tail running out :((

  • GY240 will hold the tail no problem. I've done tic-tacs, front flips and back flips and it held the tail.

  • muy pero muy bien!!! very good !!!!

  • Gracias! Thank you!

  • Awesome. Great video and nice flight. I plan on getting one for myself but i guess i 'll have to spend a crapload of time at athe simulator too.

  • It's worth every minute of it :-)

  • I want to learn this too, but I am unsure if I should start with a lama v4 or buying a belt cp directly?

  • I went directly to BeltCP, but I flew 3 months on the simulator before I even tried to lift off with BeltCP.

  • nice fly ;)

  • Thank you! Danke schoen :-)

  • what all have you upgraded from the stock heli?

  • At the time of the recording, as the Info states, I only upgraded to Futaba GY240 gyro.

Later, I upgraded stock servos for Tower Pro SG90 servos and to Spektrum DX6i TX and RX.

  • how long does the battery last?

  • You have to time it to about 4-6 minutes, depending on what will you be doing.

For aggressive flying, 4 minutes, for normal 2D flying, 6 minutes.

  • Very nice Flying!!!!! Very fast and smooth!! Just got one of these for $45 but the feathering & main shaft, blades, main gear needed replacing & I also switched the TX & RX to my Spectrum DX6i 2.4gHz...... I'll be doing my Maiden Flight of the Belt CP today!! Finally got the tail to hold tight. Using my Eflite G90 HH Gyro from my Blade CP Pro..... Look up erwin15erwin for my videos ....

  • Congratulations and good luck!

  • are u in 3d

  • Not in this video.

After that I learned some new stuff (tic-tacs, inverted hover, barells, loops), but I don't know if that could be considered 3d.

  • what is the move called when you hover upside down?

  • Inverted Hover :-)

  • thanks! and you are a VERY good flyer!!

  • No problem!

    Thank you :-)

  • looooooool!

  • Can the belt cp hover upside down and do 3d?

  • Yes! When I advanced from the flying in the video, I trained nose-in inverted hover and forward and backward tic-tacs on a a daily basis.

  • tks very much AndY1ksi fr ur reply. i hpe one day i cud fly like urs. tks !!

  • I'm sure you will. Don't worry. It's not as hard as it may seem :-)

  • very nice flying bro...very stable.!!

i jst bought esky belt cp n planing to get futaba gy240 sme as you, bcoz u show it how stble it was. so far im stil using stndrt c esky gyro n doin hover only bcos d heli is not stable as yours. is it posible if u cud give me some tips n tricks fr beginer like me? apreciate so much bro, pls keep posting ur video. rgds. :)

  • Thank you!

Good choice getting a Futaba GY240. Tips:

    1. gy240 only works with analog servos

    2. Install it on the same spot as Esky gyro, having tail servo wires exit the gyro, facing the tail and text on gyro readable, if you're looking at the gyro from the tail of the heli

    3. Servo direction setting on the gyro has to be set to reversed

    4. AVCS mode is Heading Hold

When you set it all up, set the gain knob at aprox. 75%, then fly into hover.

  • If the tail is not wobbling left and right (trying to correct itself), land and increase the gain setting. Do so until you get tail wobble. When you do get wobble, decrease the gain setting a bit and fly into hover. If it still wobbles, land and decrease gain some more. Do so until it stops tail wobbling.

At that point, you have an ideal GAIN setting :-)

  • My Belt (v2) has trouble initializing, at times taking 2-3 minutes. It's got a brand new Exceed 30A ESC. Do you have your throttle @ 50% when you turn on the TX? Or do you power on the TX, move the throttle to 50%, power on the copter, then slide the throttle to 0%. Hope that makes sense. I hate waiting for the ESC! Great flying BTW!!!

  • Thank you!

It doesn't matter where the throttle is, when you power on the TX. It matters when you power on the Copter/RX. If you have it at 0% it will initialize immediately. If you do it at, let's say, 50%, ESC won't initialize until you drop your throttle to 0%.

Powering on the copter/RX at 50% throttle doesn't yet initialize the ESC and that gives me time to check servo movements. If they're ok, I move the throttle to 0% and ESC gets initializes.

  • Otherwise, if I turned the copter/RX on with the throttle at 0%, ESC gets initialized immediately and you might, when doing servo checks and/or other stuff, accidentally move the throttle out of 0% position, you can have rotating blades and pitch when you don't want to.

  • Fantastic failsafe technique! Thanks a ton. I'm a noob, so it seems I'm constantly learning ways and ideas to help with my flying (or crashing I should say!).

  • No problem! I'm glad I could help :-)

  • Wow. That is FLYING!

Would you recommend an Esky belt CP V2? I am about to purchase one. Would you recommend the 2.4Ghz version?

Thanks for the help, keep it up!

  • Thank you!

I haven't seen the new version, but I guess they improved some bits from the original, so that can't hurt. 2.4GHz can't hurt either, since you won't have to ask everyone else flying at that time about their channel value ;-)

  • haha I just picked one of these up off a guy for 50 bucks, need to do some head work on it, but it should be running in the next day or two. Looks like yours is flying pretty good! I couldn't tell... are you flying in idle up here? Didn't sound like you switched over.

  • Congratulations! You'll love it :-)

Yes, I switched to idle up. Without it, loops are risky ;-)

I did that once, when I forgot to switch and I had no negative pitch and my blades nearly stopped.

But doing loop, without switching to Idle Up, isn't nealry as much fun, as trying to do an inverted hover, after forgetting to flip to Idle Up ;-)

    Now, that was scary :-)

  • haha, I bet! I finally got mine working after a major rebuild of the head. I flew it once and immediately decided I didn't like it. It just plainly had no go. Full collective would yield a slow climb and the cyclic was so mild it was ridiculous to me. Ended up selling it to a friend who was getting back into the hobby and I think he's going to build an HH-60 with it. (We're both in the CG) I used the money and bought a Beam E4, never looked back. This heli is a dream to fly!

  • Good for you! To bad you couldn't get it to work as it should.

  • Hi is the gy240 a rock solid tail gyro?

  • Hi!

I'd say it's as good as GY401 I have now on T-Rex 600 with digital servos.

  • Awesome vid! You got skillz man!!!

  • Thank you!

If I can do it, anyone can :-)

  • haha we made the mistake of not turning on the transmitter..... :( its all fixed now :) lol

  • :-)

  • nice bro, nearly doing circuits on my HBFP

  • :-)

  • Congratulations! You'll love it!

  • one simple question, which is the good method for first leason for translations?

  • I like you belt cp control, i am using also a belt cp, and its very good, i learn a lot.

    Good control! Now i buy a ff7 35mhz.

  • Thank you!

  • Did your ESC burn up?

  • Never :-)

  • It's for Indoor but awssome :D

  • It's 450 class. It's an outdoor helicopter.

  • Excellent, can you tell me what flight time you get from a 2100 15c lipo? Thanks and 5

  • Hi and thanx!

I fly 4-5 minutes of aggressive flying, 5-6 minutes of normal flying.

I get around 150-200 cycles from a pack, before it completely looses capacity and can't give any more real power.

  • Thanks for the info mate, great vid. :)

  • Great flying. This is where I am trying to get to. Check out my vids and feel free to offer me any advice. Started with a Honeybee FP and have now moved onto a Blade CP Pro2. Had some good rolls, loops and flips though but am still learning, as always! :o) Love your flights.

  • Thank you!

    I'm sure you'll advance fast :-)

  • Thanks Andy will follow your advise.

  • Anytime :-)

  • Nice flying bro cool vid i gave it 5stars

  • Thanx!

  • on a stock belt cp radio you don t have a trodle strick you have a nob. and it was righten trodle stick

  • I'm sorry, but I really don't understand what you're saying.

Throttle stick controls throttle and pitch. You do have a knob for fine tuning the pitch.

  • Thanks for sharing Andy!

Finally one who flies his chopper like I would do.I get headache of watching hard 3D and tictocs.:-)

Did you do any mods or is it completely stock? And how many hours did you log on the belt cp?I'm looking for my first chopper and this might be my first one!

  • Hi!

    No problem :-)

This was completely stock BeltCP with stock Esky transmitter.

I laer upgraded to Spektrum DX6i 2.4Ghz TX and RX and replaced stock Esky servos with TowerPro SG90, which gave me longer servo travel for bigger pitch as Esky servos will give you only +-7 degree pitch.

I spent a lot of hours on a PC simulator before getting airborne and trained with 'radd's school of rotary flight' - search with Google.

I hope my advice will help you :-)

  • Hey. I have a Twister Storm 440 with the JustGoFly 450th motor and digital servos... great fun! This is the kind of flying i like - loops, rolls,, inverted hovering, cuban-8's. I really dont have much interest in 'full-on' 3D.

    Sheldon

  • Hi!

I also prefer flying around, rather than full 3D :-)

  • Yeah... that is mainly the case for me as i cant do 3D :D

  • Don't worry. After your first try, it's easy :-)

  • I can doo all of that in my first comment, but i can also do most of the 3D stuff... it is normally an one-off if i manage to do a goood job. I'm really not to keen on throwing an expensive heli around like a tennis ball anyway:D

  • Haha! :D

  • Great flying! is this heli about the same as the Blade 400? I mean, other than the TX and stuff but is the frame pretty much the same?

    Thanks for the awesome vid!!

  • Thank you!

    I think Belt-CP is a 450 class.

  • Actually The B400 is slightly better than the Belt, but it is stupidly overpriced.

  • Hello, im thinking about getting one, only really flew 4ch helicopters, is this a good helicopter to start with, it looks great, or that might be coz your flying it, great flying mate.,

so is this a good 6ch begginers heli

    Thanks GREAT VIDEO

  • Thanx!

Yes, it's a great helicopter to fly. You'll love it. I recommend it.

I've just started flying with T-Rex600 Electric, but I'll never forget my Belt-CP. I've learned so much on Belt-CP.

  • great flying, well done ! I am thinking to

to buy this one too. Lots of fun.

  • Thanx!

It's a great helicopter the learn, as it can do everything it's big brothers can and it's very cheap to repair.

  • Well, I bought one today, I hope to have it soon and that it I will have a lot of fun with it like you do.

  • Congratulations!

Be sure to train on the simulator first :-)

  • Nice flight!! I envy you.

  • Thank you!

With practice, anyone can do it.

I too, was a beginner once, practicing tail-in hover and stuff :-)

  • very nice flying my friend

  • Thanx!

  • did u ever try to fly belt cp with standart non heading lock gyro? and standart servos?well, i have mini titan with full spec (401 gyro, hs65hb servos, and 9254 rudder) it's a great heli.

but then, my friend gave me belt cp RTF for b'day present.. i want to fly this belt cp with all standart equipment.. what do u think? will it works fine? i'm afraid its not okay. coz i found it very sloppy in the main rotor head..

  • In this video I flew with standard gyro, but I had Futaba GY240 gyro. I used standard non-HH gyro very little.

It's very nice heli to fly. I love it. I upgraded to T-Rex600 now, but I still love Belt-CP. It can do everything other big helis can do.

I recommend it, but if you want to learn faster, I suggest Futaba GY240 gyro.

  • Andy, good job.!!! do you have hotmail account or MSN instant messages?. I have 2 PC belts. I have some questions.

  • Thanx!

I will have to start training for the coming season. First on the simulator, then with the BeltCP, because I have to get ready for my new beast - T-Rex600 electric.

Sure. Send me a Youtube's private message and I'll send you my MSN email.

  • in this video.. did u fly on normal mode, or idle up mode?? thanks bro..

  • Idle Up. Don't do loops or inverted flight in Normal mode.

I did it twice, when I forgot to switch to Idle Up and the loop seemed kinda strange ;-) loosing RPMs on-top of the loop.

2nd time was when I went into inverted hovering when I forgot to switch to Idle-Up. I inverted the heli and put the throttle stick to about 1/4. I lost RPMs and started falling to the ground inverted (I had no negative pitch). I turned the Belt-CP around at aprox. 1 meter above the ground and saved the situation.

  • at the begging i thought you were getting ready for a speach. maybe i should take that many breaths before i fly. i might crash less

  • :-)

Yeah, it takes a while, but it's the procedure I always do prior to taking off.

Transmitter check, receiver check, servos check.

I crashed once 'till now, and that was due to servo failure - right servo stopped working and got jammed in a fixed position. The only thing I could to was to fly the heli into the corn field, which wasn't yet grown when this clip was made, but it was later grown at 12 o'clock to my position :-)

I had Belt-CP fixed by 2AM the same night.

  • how long have u been flying also what electronics do u have on your belt

  • At the time of the recording I has 2-3 months of flying.

    Spec:

    - stock Esky Belt CP

    - stock Esky TX

    - Futaba GY240 gyro

    - MegaPower 2100mAh 15C battery

  • WOW!!! Amazing flying man. i have a HBK2 with metal upgrades, but still have a long way to go. do you know the difference between the gy240 and the gy401. Thanks!

  • Thank you!

GY240 has analogue output only and GAIN is set via the pot on the top of the gyro.

GY401 has analogue and digital output (for digital servos) and faster response time for the digital servos. It's GAIN is set via the transmitter channel. That's why it has two cables to the transmitter. One is the RUDDER and the other is GAIN.

My Belt-CP has GY240 installed and my new baby T-Rex600 has GY401 :-)

  • But don't get me wrong. GY240 is an excellent gyro, it fits Belt-CP and should fit HBK2 perfectly. If you use Esky transmitter, you have to get GY240, since the Esky transmitter doesn't have a settable GAIN channel. Only flippable between Normal and Heading Hold mode - it's values are preset, but they are hardly the values right for YOUR heli and gyro. Your heli's gyro would over-correct the tail or under-correct.

If you have Esky TX, get a GY240 - the best gyro without a gain channel.

  • still! 5 stars of flying, ill be subscribing to yer channel for new heli vidz, cheers

  • Thanx :-)

    I also have a T-Rex 600 ready for the next season :-)

    It should be fun!

  • next season? you mean til summer? Ill work on my Raptor 90. :P then ill respond to you as soon as its set. I dont fly aswell as you do ofcourse :D

  • Until spring :-)

  • Awesome flying!

  • Thanx :-)

At that time I wasn't able to do rolls, inverted hover and tic-tocs yet.

I do now, but that only proves, how good BeltCP is. It can do everything the big ones can.

  • and the DX6i transmitter gives a better response ? what else ? you need to upgrade the receiver too i guess.

Does it also increase the range you can control your heli from ?

  • Main advantage is, that it's programmable and digital. 2.4Ghz is also an advantage, since you no longer have problems with mixing channels with other fliers. You get a new receiver with the transmitter. The transmitter is AR6200. It consists of the main transmitter and a satellite transmitter, for back up if main transmitter looses signal.

You don't need greater range since the default Esky TX is enough.

My suggestion is, that you use Esky TX first and when you advance, you get a DX6i.

  • what is a gyro ? and does the 2100mah battery gives longer flight time or more speed ?

sorry i just starting with this heli freack thing ^^

my belt CP is coming next week

  • Gyro is a device that keeps the tail in place. If you wouldn't have it, you'd have to keep the tail in place by yourself against the side wind, main rotor rotation,...

More mAh battery gives you longer flights. But there is a disadvantage. More mAh = usually more weight = heavier heli.

No problem. Ask anything you like.

Try to train on PC simulator program first ;-)

  • thank you again i just tryed out my new throttle curv in Normal mode,

and it's brilliant thanks to you.

pitch curve (in %) as well =)

  • I'm glad I could help :-)

  • Very nice flight, i'm impressed.

  • Wow! Nice video man! I'm from Brazil and just bought a Belt-CP... But as i am a beginner, i'm still training at a simulator... Congratulations!!!

  • Thanx! :-)

  • what time did you put the timer on? 7min?

  • Hi!

Sorry for late reply. I was on vacation ;-)

I have my timers set on 5 minutes.

  • brill flight i got one and also raptor 30 v2 , but my fav is belt cp

  • Hi!

Sorry for late reply. I was on vacation ;-

    Thank you :-)

  • how are you flying? idle-up or in normal mode?

  • To start the motor, I use the Normal mode. When the throttle is at mid-stick, I switch to Idle-Up.

  • how are you flying? idle-up or in normal mode?

  • Normal mode to spool-up and then switch to Idle-Up. You shouldn't do loops in Normal mode 'cos you may hit the ground that way. I once forgot to switch to Idle-Up and wanted to train inverted flight. I rolled the BeltCP inverted and pulled the throttle and I was wondering why the h*ll am I loosing altitude ;-)

Luckily, the bulb in my head turned on at the right moment and I recovered without a problem.
