The Blackburst BFR has more deeper low end and thicker sound than the basswood JP. Koa BFR one is also great but I still like Blackburst BFR the most.
Hey Pete you sold me the Dargie Petrucci 7 few weeks ago, thats weird I came across you on youtube randomly looking up BFR videos! Is the autumn redrise yours? A beautiful color changer they shouldn't have discontinued.
I find that the D,G, and low E string all go out of tune the fastest on a fixed bridge. I also find that the D and G strings die the fastest of all of them.
I know that this may vary depending on the brand and quality, but am i right?
i'm getting tired of reading people saying EBMM are overpriced & most of them haven't even played a EBMM. I have always used ESP and got a chance to play some JP6s and JP7s and i can't wait to put down my ESPs and play EBMM. Its a QUALITY PRODUCT. Personally i don't you can even compare brands like ESP & Ibanez to EBMM because the Quality makes them look like cheap imports even when constructed in the correct country. Even Gibson and Fender don't have the Quality they used to. EBMM all the way!!
With my eyes closed, there is no difference.
Ever heard of The McGurk Effect? :)
Nice guitars, I see one in my near future.

Tom090586 1 year ago
I'd have to say
#1 is the BFR
#2 is the Koa BFR
#3 is the regular JP
My personal preference of course.

It also varies by how you tune your guitar and stretch the strings, what kind of nut you have, what kind of tuners, etc etc.
The guitars in this vid all have tremolos and are not fixed bridge models.

I'll take number 2. Is that the new one with the alder body and maple cap? sounds good... Koa sounds good too.

Koa is amazing.

Regular JP is mega more worth the price, BFR and Koa BFR are way overpriced. I would only buy them if I was rich, and it would be for the cool paint.
WestonMossman 3 years ago
They actually aren't overpriced at all.

YA OK.

It's so pretty and shiny...if only the $1,505 dollars were in my pocket..

The Koa sounds more acoustic with the piezo but i think they all sound pretty similar. I'll have whatever's the cheapest.

koa all the way!!!

I'm definitely gonna buy the BFR. The Koa's awesome too, but I dunno if I could swing either.
You think they'll drop the price? Did they drop it on the first model?
Love the song name too, btw. Haha! Such a sweet sounding song about a disease.
JAustinMunn 3 years ago
BFRs are limited release. so no they wont drop the price

I Love how that KOA Petrucci has a more meaty balls-to-the-wall sound

I wouldn't think my ears would actually be able to hear the differences, but I can!
Nice comparison. Thanks.
