how de hell can anybody not like this incredible commentary by de great man micheal o muircheartaigh he lifted de hairs on de back of my neck wat a legend
Seen it 100 times, at least, but I've never heard it with O'Muircheartaigh's commentary before. Great stuff. I was a very young lad in the Canal End that day. Incredible stuff, never to be forgotten.
CE was predominantly Meath. At least 70% of the crowd were Royal and the Dublin supporters tended to be more spread out and towards the bottom of the terrace.
Meaths fans under the scoreboard and everywhere in that area would make a lot of noise.
Croker's a fine stadium now - but it lost something in atmosphere when the Canal became seated. Nothing quite like one end of the pitch covered in blue, the other green. The 1990's in the Canal End brought about some of my favourite sporting memories.
What a thrilling series of games. The Dubs were robbed but it was some exciting finish to superb battle of two of Gaelic Football great rivals. And what can we say about Michael O Muireartaigh, A Legend, He makes every game worth listening to.
great day, great team, great micheal

Who was supposed to be tracking Foley ie who was the corner forward for Dublin? Where was he?
big78900 2 years ago
It was Nialll Guiden who incidentally was on fire and gave Foley the run around all day, until.....
Jesus id do anything for a day like that again, pity no one has put up Jody Devine against Kildare.
