Hahaha, a win for the Beetle. As terrible as they might have been, though, the engine was built to last. I mean, even when the body's come off; you can take out the engine, the transmission, and build yourself a dune-buggy!

Problem is, I really doubt the Beetle was bought in Africa/For less than 1000 quid. At any rate, I'd say Hammond won, if he hadn't chosen that spot to cross the river, his engine would still be perfectly running, still no modifications etc.
