Your wrong on a couple of things. One is that you imply that the different types of Christians could be united on the overall distinction between what is canonical and what is not. Otherwise, everybody accepting what is canonical and what is not. I will tell you there are a lot more things dividing churches than just the different canons. Also, to the Catholics the Apocrypha are labeled "Deutro- Canonical" (not on the same level as "canonical books".
God has nothing to do with the church! If Jesus was here today, from my understanding, he would have nothing to do with the Vatican, Mega churches or anything of that nature! The church has always been a political weapon. And any book that suggests that u can reach God outside of the church has been do away with! This point about missing books is crucial to our understanding of the whole message.
I think that no matter if the greeks have more books than the others it does not really matter, because what is important is to understand God's message. The churches are divided today not because they have less books or more than the other, but because they have divided the word of God,but the word is one and the message is one..
I thank you for having posted this. I too have a feeling that manking supressed scripture- perhaps a LOT of it- only God knows what and how much, though. Also religion seems too closed minded to consider new finds(Nag Hammadi, Dead Sea, maybe others yet to be found) to be inspired. Man is probably too set in their beliefs to be changed, now matter how powerful the evidence might be otherwise.
Even if another major body of scripture-like reading were found tomorrow( the size of dead sea, for example or larger) I doubt many would acknowledge that either, due to closed mindedness. Split in two due to wordiness of comment.
We do not need to ask their permission, but we are here to ask them nicely, while slowly taking things over. They have the right to accept or refuse, but we have the responsibility to go to them first. God will do this if it's His will. No one can stop it, but first the thoughts of many hearts must be exposed.
This is not proof of a religious god nor is it evidence either. Supernatural bullshit is more like it.
