Jake E Lee is awesome. He's more of a technician than a musician if you guys would let me get away with sayng that. I Believe in Glen, Kenny and Tony with Bill's help it'll be a kick ass job.
and tony has his opinion maybe it aint heavy metal to him, of course he did more then heavy metal especially in the ozzy era, jazz rock, blues rock, classic rock, symphonic rock, stoner, hard rock
If you ask Iommi, he will say that Sabbath, have and always will be hard rock. If you don't believe me go and get The Last Supper from your video store.
Black Sabbath was really what got me into guitar playing back in 1972. The Riffs and Rhythms are simply unmatched by any other band.. Even to this day. I own an Ibanez RG3EX1 that has string action so low it literally touches the frets with no buzzing.. I play through a Line 6 PocketPod to headphones with the setting on:
Style: Heavy, Modern+Delay.. At the same time
I can play the Black Sabbath CD through the CDin port of the PocketPod and play along..
The BEEGEES are the best musical group ever. Sabbath or Ozzy or Maiden or Priest do not even compare to holy, messiah like talent that the BEEGEES possess
the beegees fucking provoked rap and hip hop that now shames the name of rock u retard!!!!!! u stepped in to the wrong neighborhood, motherfucker!!!!!!!
Black Sabbath is a Legend and we love them. Everyone should listen to them. They are one of our biggest influences. Our band Amaggot Bordir owes alot to them. We just added a new video today on my profile if anyone wants to hear something new and heavily influenced by Sabbath.
Recently took to listenning to Heaven and Hell again and before the end of Lonely Is The Word I was glad that Toni had the chance to change, probably best for all of them, Great Interview, Thanks - Very old Sabbath fan - Wheels Of Confusion
You stupid fuck, don't EVER call Iommi a bastard, Dio's a talentless fucktard who shouldn't even be talking about Black Sabbath at all seeing as he was in it for all of 3 years.
"what they did with Dio was amazing, but it didn't have that raw, spooky sound"
I thought Sign of the Southern Cross was one of "spookiest" songs in Sabbaths catalog...So is After All - The Dead, and now Shadow of the Wind..The thing the Dio era never had was the manic depression element that Ozzy gave...Ozzy was great at portraying a victim...Dio on the other hand is great at portraying the victimizer
he is awesome, i'm really only into zeppelin but i ocassionally turn on his stuff and think "god damn iommi is a badass"... people don't understand that he is a blues musician not like a killer death metal guy
what a very interesting interview, Hughes singing gillan songs again, shame this tour hasn't happened yet, it would be interesting to see. but I look forward to H&H which will kick arse. you can tell Iommi's tried of the same old paranoid ironman routine with ozzy, it's good they actually broke away from that because ozzy was holding them back.
first time i heard him talk.

THANK YOU. Dio was an o.k. writer but he took the music and Completly took the feeling out of it. Ozzy and Iommi pwn his ass.

Dio made the lyrics a little cheesier

I would stand in front of my stereo, and I couldn't make sense of the lyrics. Not very much...I'd be like, "wtf"

thats because u have to actually think about the lyrics, not just stand in front of your stereo

true, especially the first one; what they did with Dio was amazing, but it didn't have that raw, spooky sound.
