@resse92xx man im not here to go back and forth with people. Aye if u wanna try and sharpen me im down with learning truth.... Im a bible believer and I apply it all. I read more than just matthew to revelations...holla at me mane...
I love what you're doing with these songs, Travis, keep it up! To all the people who criticize what he's doing in taking "secular" songs and making them "Godly" you have to realize that this is exactly what God does with us. He takes all of us, as unholy or "secular" as we once were and makes us righteous. That is one of the major themes of the Bible and without it, we're all pretty much screwed. I see Travis' transformation of this music as a metaphor for what God does with us!
U people kill me with yo wanna be saved self....u dont even know the word.....travis keep killin these songs. To u supa holy people come at me with ur church garbage....see who really know the word......
@dboi03 I totally did not mean to put thumbs up to this no offense. Just a little sidenote: You're saying see who really knows the word, well I hope you know the part when it says to say things in love, because all of that is unnecessary. You can know whatever u think you may know, but if you don't believe it, it has no value to you.
nice sound Travis;-) only note of warning: I notice that you tend to "remix" secular music. I had NO idea that your free mix tape were remixes of secular songs (not all,but enough) until I began to hear the same melodies on TV by other artists during commercial breaks. I checked into it and was quite shocked! you may think it's just music but it's not. you have a purpose in putting your original gospel songs out, why wouldn't the world have an agenda also. music gets into your spirit~be careful!
@Mar2009zx all music comes from God. and just because someone else puts a negative, secular, or sexual connotation on the song doesn't mean that us, God's children can't turn it around and give it back to God. that's what we're also here to do.
@misskris.. the only problem with your theory is that believers have to "sit" and "listen" to the secular lyrics (violent, sexual, ect) in order to "turn it around". this is what i am essentially getting at in my above comment. music "enters in" one's spirit. if my goal is to "change" all secular music into God pleasing music, as a believer in Christ, then i am putting my "spirit" at risk. God is original~do we (believers) have to listen to secular music--fix it, then listen?
@Mar2009zx I thought the same thing. Words are powerful, however some people will not be able to receive it fully because the music behind it has represented something totally opposite. To all of you criticizing Mar2009zx, STOP. They didn't say it meanly or disrespectfully so why such harshness? I believe it was a word of advice that needs to be heard. Travis is far to talented to possibly be viewed in the wrong way simply because he chose the wrong music to put wonderful words to.
NICE REMIX! if you could chek my 1 out would be much appreciateddd - keep up the good work

@Mar2009zx Why are you limiting the power of God and giving more power to the Devil?
If God wants to use something, he will use it, regardless how it was used before. I can't stand it
when people put God in a box.
