@Jrock69ford It is just a funny little tune I created for this video. Some analog synthesizers and an old drum machine from the 80s were used to make the music.
I would love to hear how you converted to a spinning mirror. I have used Mitchells for over over 20 years, but mostly for effects work. I know that the Arri mirrors are good, but were you able to keep the variable shutter? I know it is a toss up, but I have only seen pellicles that allow the use of the variable shutter. Hence, I swithced to a Mark II.
Sorry, at the moment I have no intention to sell any gear. However, with this economic downturn who knows what I will be doing with my stuff in the future.
@Petyamester Yeah, you can check out how much more of a pain it is to shoot with than a 35mm camera. Oh, and how so often the camera is marred with technical problems that prevent you from shooting at all.
And then you can check out how your final image doesn't look as good as 35mm.
@TheHandOfFear Welcome to 1 year ago. :) I'm not a red fan, but its firmwares fixed every problem long ago, and with the new epic and MX sensors it's even improved at low light sensitivity and such. I've seen film shots with the red that I couldn't have tell it's digital, and seen films that were awful too. It's down to "it's not the camera, it's the person who operates it" fact again.
No, it fixed some of the really, really serious problems but the RED is far from problem free as of today. Just tried to use it as an FX camera on a shoot two weeks ago. Problems held us up. The RED is a good camera on paper, but not in real everyday use.
And I think the key word there was 'shots'. Yes the occasional shot is indistinguishable from 35mm, but that is far from good enough. A few good shots does not make for a good looking film. And that is what you get with RED.
I know this has nothing to do with the video but what music is this?
