I've just started my rebuild on the original l24 that came in my 73 240. Once finished, i will be putting in the car to break it in, and then the real fun begins. I'm taking the L24 thats in it now, which is on a mild cam, and i'm going push up a few notches. I just wanted to let you know that this video inspired me on many of the choices i was to make for the car. I decided to go with SU carbs vs triples and im doing the 5speed swap with a 3.9 (4.11 if i can find it) rear end. Thank you!!!

Was this just on standard SU's? If i do the swap i'd really like Weber DCOE's or Dellorto DHLA's but if it sounds that good and goes that well with SU's i think i may stick with them...

I have personally driven this Z and EVERY SYSTEM on it has been worked up to the 90% race level. The owner wants to keep it a street car but it drives like a 220hp GoKart. EVERYTHING on the car has been improved. With the 4:11 rear and 5spd box, I couldn't control it starting in 1st ~ had to start in 2nd for street. Wonderful driveline, suspension & brakes. My own '70 240Z has $20K in it and this one puts mine to bed any day. My idea of what a Z should be like, right here. Color me JEALOUS.
